The Retractable Power Rack makes a good addition to any home/garage gym. The rack retracts for easy storage and includes a pull up bar and squat rack. If you're tight on space you can unfold to use and stow away when you're done.
Did the setup completely solo, although I wouldn't recommend if you can get help. Took around 2 hours .Relatively simple. Found a setup video on Fringe's youtube channel. Followed it and had zero issues.
The set up was relatively easy but still took time to try to decipher all of the help videos online. Once it's all set up it is perfect for a garage gym! I have had no problems with holding all the weight I need. It's a little loud if you set it up against a wall that has an interior wall on the opposite side so keep that in mind. Overall I'm super happy with it!
I think fold-able racks are inherently hard to put up. But with time on my side I was able put this thing up in a day. We have almost a 3in difference between our wall and a cinder bock foundation we needed to bolt the bottom to. Fringe even included wall anchors which worked well. Also our floor is sloped so I needed to pay attention to the spot the pads would make contact with the floor. I literally would put it together and then take it apart to get the right measurements. Did this so many times I lost count. I did the right side first and then built the left side level to it. Thinking I would have to shim the left side. After I was done both sides worked great. No shims. Even full on power racks usually have to have shims most the time. Nothing is truly straight. We have been using it for a few weeks and I love it. Well built. The locking pins slide right in and it only takes me 30sec to set up. I will be getting a lot of use out of this rack. I'm ordering the spotter arms. Only thing I wish for is a pullup bar that would jut further out so I can do toes to bar or kipping pull ups.
Just received the rack this week and put it together yesterday, did my first workout on it today which involved box squatting 395lbs. Loving this so far. Fits perfectly into my garage, it looks strong, and it wasn't hard to put together. My neighbor who helped me put it together has a similar rack from a different company. He even said my rack looks better than his. I would recommend this to anyone.....unless you are really wanting the safety attachment. Apparently you can't attach it to the rack. My coworker will be disappointed about that.
