Steer Your Training  Right with the Longhorn Bar

"Texas is a blend of valor and swagger."- Carl Sandburg

You may know that Fringe Sport is headquartered in Austin, TX.

Nothing symbolizes the swagger of Texas better than a Longhorn.

You see Longhorn racks on the hoods of Cadillacs for a reason.

They make a bold statement.

Now you can make the same bold statement and drive your training with the Longhorn bar.

You ready to cowboy up your power lifts with the living symbol of the Old West?

Then saddle up to the Longhorn.

The protein mainstay of America for over a half century, the Longhorn now feeds your gains.

If You Climb in the Saddle, Be Ready for the Ride

In Texas, Longhorns ranged from the Red River to the Rio Grande, east to the Louisiana line and west to the upper breaks of the Brazos River. These early longhorns, almost completely wild, continued to roam Texas until the end of the Civil War.

After the Civil War many men returned home to find their fields destroyed. But they did find one thing- wild Longhorns roaming about. The Longhorn was their ticket out of economic hardship.

For decades after the Civil War Longhorns made cowboys and their meal ticket.

"Challenging" might describe the job of transporting cattle north to beef-hungry cities. Overland cattle drives became the norm via famous cattle trails such as the Western, Chisholm and Goodnight-Loving to iconic rail hubs in Kansas, Wyoming and other northern states.

The Texas Longhorn rules cattle country. After setting foot on North American soil nearly 500 years ago, the beast has triumphed through survival of the fittest as the lone cattle breed in America, without human aid, to truly adapt to America.

So too will the Longhorn bar adapt to you. Here's why:

  • Plush Back Seat.¬¨‚ĆBacks aren't flat. They have roundness and contour shapes. When you saddle up to the Longhorn, it's going to sit with unmatched stability and comfort on your back, perfect for those long training drives. If you haven't felt one on your back yet, don't be surprised when it feels equivalent to sitting in your favorite recliner.
  • Super Utility Player.¬¨‚ĆAfter spending some time in the saddle, you won't even feel the Longhorn sitting on your back as it rests with natural ease either in a high bar or low bar position.
  • No More Joint Rolling.¬¨‚ĆYou'll be delighted with the relief and comfort the Longhorn offers your shoulders, wrists and even biceps. Enjoy the smoothest ride ever that the Longhorn bar provides thanks to the altered angles and relaxing bend. Works wonders to reduce shoulder torque and wrist strain. If you have any shoulder issues, don't think twice to add this beast to your stable to reduce your burden.
  • Power..uplift.¬¨‚ĆSpecifically designed for the dynamic duo of power lifts (squat and bench press) you'll squat easier and bench deeper. Enhances your position and bracing by improving lat engagement and scapular retraction. Be a real cowboy and saddle up for front squats and even rows.
  • No More Dive Bars.¬¨‚Ƭ¨‚ĆGoing from a straight bar to the Longhorn is like going from a hotel pillow to memory foam. The upgrade will make you never want to miss leg day ever again.
  • Lifetime Warranty. You'll never have to worry about breaking bad with us, or bending it like Beckham. We want you to lift off, not to tee you off.

Don't Squat with Spurs On

That's some good, old cowboy wisdom right there that still applies today.

After all, we don't want your lifts to be a pain in the ass.

That's the beauty of the Longhorn, that it takes care of itself by being low maintenance and effortless to care for.

Due to roaming the Great Plains for centuries, Longhorns adapted to inhospitable conditions and primitive terrain. Thanks to their natural selection the rangy, docile Longhorn developed prized traits: natural resistance to drought/common diseases/parasites, ruggedness, toughness, intelligence and adaptability.

Turning a brutal landscape into their thriving ground where other animals would die, made Longhorns the foundation stock and finest cattle in America.

That's why the Longhorn bar will thrive in any gym environment, and for any garage lifter.

It will adapt to you and your lifts, making your long trail ride to success a lot easier to bear.

Whether man or woman, this bar is for you. Both male and female Longhorns have horns that extend up to 7 feet so this bar has more than enough depth and breadth to cover all your training demands.

Demand the best for your training and put rest out to pasture, because you don't take any bull...

...you need a Longhorn.

Excellent Longhorn Bar

The angle of the bar allows me to comfortably low bar squat, and my squat numbers increased immediately because I was not distracted by the discomfort in my shoulders and elbows. The shaft diameter also helps increase the comfort as the bar gets heavy due to the great surface area.

Long Horn Bar

This bar is a game changer for anyone with old or warn out shoulders. I've tried different squat bars, safety bars, etc to find the right bar. This bar feels like a good old fashioned leg day with some quality squats. No shoulder pain, the bar is well balanced and easy to use. The only concern may be how it fits in the squat rack. I have a standard size commercial power rack and the bar tends to be a bit unstable when racked. If it's not centered perfectly it will wobble or slide over. I would say I'm completely satisfied and would recommend this bar for several reasons.

Excellent Buffalo Bar!

I’ve had a decent bit of experience using a more traditional buffalo bar, but I think the increased camber of this design is superior. The knurling and build quality is excellent. I also appreciate that they somehow managed to get it to weight in at just 46 lbs as well.
