PK Weighs In: Can I Drop 10lb Bumper Plates?

What's happenin' my brothers and sisters in strength?! PK here.

Today, we're talkin' 10lb bumper plates.

You know, the ones that everyone says you need to drop "lightly" if at all... the ones you coddle like a newborn baby to keep from snapping in half or taco-ing...

Those 10lb plates. Except (spoiler alert), you can throw all that crap you've heard before about those 10lb babies in the trash and forget about it when you're using our 10lb bumper plates.

We've specifically taken years of development and research to formulate and engineer the perfect 10lb bumper plates, and we've done it.

You can drop our 10s from your knees, hips, shoulders, overhead, or even higher (although this isn't recommended at home).

Seriously… drop ‘em. From down low, from up high, even from a roof... maybe not from a roof because we’re concerned about safety at that point… but you get the picture. We did that for you already anyway:

We know that one of the most annoying things about lifting weights on a barbell is being concerned about what is done with the weight after it’s been conquered and lifted overhead, in a huge clean PR or in a speedy deadlift workout.

Who wants to so gently put your weights down and prolong celebration or delay moving to the next exercise in a WOD and adding more time to your score?

NOBODY!

That’s why we’ve taken the time to make sure that every single one of our bumper plates can be dropped, from any height, and maintain its shape and integrity time after time after time, even our 10lb plates.

Don't believe us? Check out what our bumper plates are really made of:

At Fringe Sport, we’re CrossFitters, home-gymers, community-wod’ers just like you, and we feel that pain when coach yells out “please don’t drop the 10s!!!”

Excuse me… what? You're clearly not using Fringe Sport bumper plates that can handle it without issue.

When you use any Fringe Sport bumper, including our 10lb plates, you can drop your plates in confidence, in style, any way you like.

Our bumper plates are so durable, they’ll never taco and will always bounce back to their original shape.

We stand by that with a warranty guarantee so good… you can’t help but take the chance with a set of these plates.

You want to throw that barbell after a clean and jerk series instead of slowly bringing it down to your shoulders and back to the floor? You got it.

Dropping the barbell with just a set of 10s from overhead, shoulder height, hip height after a light, speedy complex so you can get on with the rest of your WOD?

Go for it, Fringe Fam.

Your barbell and your bumpers are on your team… they’ve got you. They’ll do the work they need to so you can get the dirty work done quickly and without ruining your precious gear.

Our entire line-up of barbells and bumper plates (yes, all of ‘em) are guaranteed to give you the peace of mind you need to be able to toss the heck out of your weights, celebrate PR’s, and move quickly in your WODs to work on improving your times and strength.

Now, with news like this… you’re guaranteed to want to lift heavy and happy.

Have questions about our barbells or bumper plates? Let us know in the comments below, send us an email at team@fringesport.com, or chat with us on our site. We’re happy to talk with you all about our bars and bumpers.

Thanks for tuning into this episode of PK Weighs In. I'll be back next week with more for you, Fringe Fam. Stay tuned!

LHLH,

PK
