Garage Gym of the Week: Wade

  1. What’s your name? Wade
  2. How old are you? 42
  3. Do you have an Instagram handle or website? #ZOOfitt on Facebook
  4. Tell us a little bit about yourself: Married Father of Two Beautiful Girls and a Wife that is my Best Friend
  5. How would you describe your training style? I like to Power Lift and work in some Crossfit concepts from time to time.
  6. How would you describe your fitness/strength level, currently? Currently I'm involved in a 12 Week Power Trainer program to prep for a Push Pull Meet in June.
  7. What are your fitness/strength goals? I'd love to medal in the Scott Wheeler Push / Pull meet in June of this year but mostly just enjoy the ability to compete at my age.
  8. Describe your garage gym. Fringe Sports Contrast Bumpers, Fringe Sports Sports Timer, Rogue RML Collapsible Wall Rack, and Fringe Sports Med Balls and Slam Balls.
  9. Who works out in your garage gym? Mainly my friends and co-workers; my Wife and I and a few drop ins here and there.
  10. Why did you build a garage gym? Just seemed like the right thing to do. I really wanted a place where I could work out with my family and friends and play really loud music.
  11. What’s your favorite piece of equipment in your garage?  Fringe Sports Contrast bumpers and my new Fringe Sports Sports Timer. My Rogue rack is solid too!
  12. What piece of equipment was a waste? Those big exercise balls for ab exercises; very big and cumbersome and take up much needed space.
  13. What’s the next piece of equipment you’re going to get? I need a quality bar like a Fringe Bomba bar; I'm using a lot of hand me downs now which I am thankful for but I need a quality bar!
  14. Any dream piece of equipment? I would love a rower
  15. How did you build your garage gym? I bought a garage gym package from Fringe for myself and my neighbors knew I was using them in the back yard. My neighbors knew I was a Personal Trainer and asked if I was interested in putting a program together for them; so I did. After that, I was so fortunate that some friends donated a bunch of equipment to me and I needed a place to put so I decided to build up my garage gym. Today, the garage gym has taken on a life of its own thanks to Fringe Sports and Rogue fitness.
  16. Do you have any tips for anyone else looking to build a garage gym? Ask friends and family if they have any equipment they are looking to get rid of. If you have the time to search Craigslist everyday you will eventually find great deals that you can't pass up. If you have a vision just go for it! Take a chance and never look back and have fun with it. #ZOOfitt
