LOW ODOR
Our Savage Bumper Plates are made from 100% virgin rubber which is sourced from new rubber materials, which means it contains fewer impurities, contaminants, and foreign substances compared to recycled rubber.
These impurities can contribute to the strong rubber smell often associated with recycled rubber bumper plates, but are eliminated with 100% virgin rubber bumper plates.

We take pride in doing so, and we've brought that legendary, bootstrapping resilience to our Savage Bumper plates. Each Bumper Plate has a "hooked" steel insert which increases the durability and longevity of the bumper plate, even the 10's. Savage bumper plates are also made from 100% virgin rubber, which is a dense, low-odor, premium rubber.
The brightly colored tiger stripes are color-coded by weight and have a weight tolerance of +/- 1%, making them extremely weight accurate. The Bumper Plates also feature raised lettering which is more durable than painted or printed markings.
Our newly designed Savage bumper plates have a width of only 2.3", whereas most standard bumper plates have a width of 2.9". This gives the bumper plates a more premium look and allows you to fit more weight on the bar, a win-win.
The thick outer lip provides a wider area to grasp, making it easier to lift and carry the plate. This is especially important for heavier plates where a solid grip is necessary to lift the weight. When a bumper plate is lying flat on the ground, the thick lip offers a point of leverage to lift the edge of the plate. This makes it easier to get fingers or hands underneath and get it off the ground.

With a thicker width to dissipate shock upon impact and a narrower diameter to offset impact, we engineered our 10 lb plates to resist destruction.
Our amazing savage plates are indeed low odor, as they are made the same way the rest of our best on the market plates are made. If you find there is a smell to the plates when they arrive at your house, you can wash them with warm water and dish soap, leave them outside in the sun for 2 - 3 days and then you can spray with Armor All or mineral oil (a very light coat) to remove the smell from the plates!
Made from virgin rubber, all savage bumper plates are 100% rust resistant.
We do not recommend loading Iron plates and Bumper plates at the same time. Iron Plates and Savage Bumper Plates may sometimes vary in different diameters. This difference means that when the weights are dropped, the impact is concentrated on the larger plate, which can lead to faster wear on both the plates and the barbell. It’s best to use plates of the same type on your bar.

1st garage home gym build has begun. Besides the stall mats, this is the first items purchased. Very happy with appearance, cost and speed of delivery. However the UPS delivery guy wasn’t too pleased dropping these off at my garage door. Most plates were single in a plastic sheet like sandwich cheese and cardboard box. Plates of lesser weight doubled up in same shipping outfit. Banged, bruised, torn, beat up boxes did not do well during shipping, however there was no visible damage to the plates. A true test of quality. GREAT JOB FRINGE SPORTS!!! I will gladly do business in the near future!

Awesome addition to our garage setup. We wanted something to add a pop of color and these are gorgeous. High quality plates that are going to last. We also didn’t want a high bounce plate and these are just right. So glad we got these over the cheaper crumb plates that are out there. No match. Also shout out to the amazing staff!

Really good experience with Fringe Sport overall. I’m happy I went with their bumper plates. I have the HG bumpers and wanted to get something that stood out and added some color to the office and for use in some professional videos. I was debating going with fleck plates or these, and the Savages just looked so much cooler. Fringe also has a good online reputation for having quality bumpers. Compared to the HG’s, the Savages are thinner, feel more secure on the bar, easier to grip and lift, pretty much have no smell, and IMO, have a better texture and overall feel. I think the 35’s would like a little cleaner if they were more yellow similar to the plate set picture compared to the individual plate picture, but overall the design and colors are great.
I am experiencing a similar experience to one of the other reviewers where the plates do not line up as clean as I would like. You can see a gap between them when on the bar. I keep thinking the collars are sliding between sets and the plates are moving. Not sure if the plate is slightly warped or the steel insert is causing there to be a gap. It is more noticeable in the 25’s and 35’s. Another minor issue is when on the bar, the 25’s are wider in diameter compared to the 15’s and 10’s (not much, but just noticed it today). Might consider the 55’s when back in stock to add to the colors.

Two work outs in so take it for what it’s worth. Very low bounce. Make you want to work out all the time. Best purchase ever. It will take a lifetime to wear these out. Rogue who?

I’m really making this review more about the customer service because so far they have one of the best in the industry.
I had a slight issue with my 10 pound bumper upon arrival, Sent over a picture along with a short description of my problem. Less than 12 hours later I got a reply with a solution that more than satisfied me.
For this reason I will be a customer for life.

Overall the bumper plates look and perform great. A few of the plates were deburred poorly and have sections that are raised a quarter inch but a very minor issue that will likely correct itself with use. I took off one star because
it looks like looks like some one tried to deburr the edge around the hub of one of the bumpers with a knife. With a little TLC I think it will rub out.

The bumper plates are far better than expected. I am super happy with them. I think they are the best looking bumper plates in the market. Considering their price compared versus their competitors, that is even better. They have far better looking bumper plates, they give a better
guarantee compared to their competitors, and are cheaper. It is a win-win for me.

Have 210lbs of these. For the most part, very nice. There's a very slight warp to one 35 (doesnt sit quite flush with other plates on the bar). One 45 arrived scuffed up. Not a disaster but may irk you if you are expecting them to be perfect.

I was torn between bumpers and metal plates. I love the clank, but it is not feasible in my house.I decided to go with bumpers, and I was not initially looking at these. I am happy that I did eventually go with Fringe. Great service and fast shipping.I did have a few cosmetic issues on one plate. Fringe sent me a credit to make it up, so I cannot complain.

I was sent old stock of the 35 lb weights. They are thicker than the new ones. Meaured them to make sure, but they are visibly thicker. Kinda disappointed, theyd do me like that since ive ordered 3 sets of the savage bumpers.

I ordered 16 x 45lb, 4 x 25lb, 4 x 15lb and 8 x 10lb of the Savage bumper plates about four months ago. They are very rugged. I have no fear at all of them coming apart when hitting the platform from heavy deadlifts and power cleans. I would definitely buy again.
