A lot of BOB Smith Machine owners wanted more than just bolting the BOB onto the back of their rack. They wanted a real, integrated setup. Something that felt purpose-built rather than tacked on.
That's EXACTLY what these crossmembers are for.
The crossmembers combined with two additional uprights and the BOB Smith Machine can turn your 4-post rack into one cohesive 6-post unit. The smith machine stays locked in, the whole setup gets more rigid, and your gym gets a huge aesthetic upgrade.
The design borrows the same logic as the BOB Front Feet. The guide rod slots are built directly into the crossmember channel, so the barbell's path stays completely unobstructed. You're not giving anything up on your Romanian deadlifts, hip thrusts, or any other movement that needs full range at the bottom.
Each set comes with four crossmembers, two for the top connection points and two for the bottom, since they are position-specific and not interchangeable. Hardware is NOT INCLUDED. If you need bolts, the M24x110mm Hex Bolt Sets on this page are exactly what you need for this installation.
Pick the 16" if you still want a rack extension, but not as aggressive with space. Go with the 30" if you want an additional full section of your rack for some of our other great rack accessories.

These crossmembers are compatible with any 3x3 rack with 1" holes. They are not limited to the Dane 2.0. If your uprights are 3x3 with 1" holes, you're good to go.
The 16" and 30" measurements reflect the overall length of the crossmember including the mounting flanges. The right size depends on how much distance you want between your existing rack and your wall.
One set of four crossmembers is all you need for a full installation. Two connect at the top, two connect at the bottom.

No. The crossmembers have dedicated guide rod slots built into the channel, using the same design principle as the BOB Extension Feet. Your barbell travels its full range of motion on every movement.
Absolutely. The crossmembers are not limited to just the BOB use. Just note, these differ from standard crossmembers since each one has a slot meant for the guide rods.
