Dual 160lb Weight Stacks

The Dane 2.0 features dual 160lb weight stacks with a 1:1 pulley ratio. Both weight stacks are adjustable from 10lb - 160lbs in 10lb increments. With a the new compact weight stack design, the pulley cables reach 5.8' outside the rack and move on a 180 degree swivel, giving you plenty of room for cable work outside the rack.

Commercial Grade Squat Rack

Along with the functional trainer, The Dane 2.0 also features a commercial grade squat rack in the front. Every Dane includes a pair of low-profile spotter arms for squatting outside of the rack and a pair of extension feet for extra stability at the base of the rack while squatting.

Commercial Grade Pulley System

The Dane 2.0 now features higher-quality aluminum pulleys with a larger diameter, creating an even smoother pull compared to the Dane 1.0. This upgrade reduces friction and drag, allowing for fluid motion and better control throughout each rep. In addition to performance improvements, we’ve given the Dane 2.0 a bold new look with Warhawk Red accents on the pulleys and accessories, adding an aggressive yet sleek aesthetic to the rack.

THE DANE 2.0

The Dane 2.0 features a half rack in the front with a commercial grade functional trainer built into the rack. The combination of squat rack & functional trainer in one provides a smaller footprint (and lower price point) than two stand alone units. With a length of only 60” from front to back, The Dane 2.0 is extremely space efficient for all the functionality it brings to the table. The squat rack is sturdy, commercial grade, and includes a pair of high-grade spotter arms for performing squats outside the rack. The pulley system is also highly adjustable, allowing you to customize the angle, range of motion, and resistance for each exercise.

COMMERCIAL GRADE PULLEY SYSTEM

The Dane 2.0 features dual 160lb weight stacks with a 1:1 pulley ratio, so 100lbs feels like 100lbs.

A 1:1 pulley ratio provides the same heavy resistance while requiring half the stack size of a 2:1 system. This means the Dane 2.0 can maintain a compact 60” footprint without compromising on performance. By maximizing resistance in a smaller design, this functional trainer saves space and cost, making it a smarter investment for compact spaces.

LET'S TALK UPGRADES

One of the biggest upgrades on the Dane 2.0 is the improved top plate design, which has been reduced from 10lbs to 5lbs based on user feedback. Many lifters requested a lighter starting weight for more precise adjustments, especially for isolation exercises, rehab work, and beginner-friendly training. We've also added a dedicated hole for the selector pin when using only the top plate, making it easier and more secure to lock in your starting weight.

We’ve also re-engineered the weight stack design to be more compact, which increases cable travel outside of the rack. The Dane 1.0 allowed for 5 feet of cable movement, but the Dane 2.0 extends nearly 6 feet, giving you more freedom for full-range movements. Despite this increased range of motion, the Dane 2.0 maintains its dual 160lb weight stacks with a 1:1 pulley ratio, delivering true-to-weight resistance in a compact footprint.

The Dane 2.0 is also equipped with upgraded aluminum pulleys featuring a wider pulley channel, which minimizes friction and drag. This ensures a more direct force transfer and an overall smoother pull.

The pulley cables reach 5.8' outside the rack and operate on a 180 degree swivel, giving you plenty of room for cable work outside the rack. With a height of 92", The Dane 2.0 provides plenty of reach for high & low cable positions, like lat pull-downs and low rows.

The Dane 2.0 Functional Trainer features custom-fit rollers that allow the trolleys to glide effortlessly up and down the rack. Designed for ease of use, the trolleys are light enough to be moved with just one hand, making them incredibly user-friendly. Despite their lightweight design, these trolleys remain rock-solid during use. Once the pop pin is secure, they won’t budge.

THE RACK

Don't let the pulley system steal the show, the rack portion of The Dane 2.0 is just as enticing. Made from 11-gauge steel, The Dane 2.0 features a commercial grade squat rack with a 1,200lb weight capacity. The uprights are 3" X 3" with 1" holes.

The Dane comes with a pair of extension feet which increase the stability at the base of the rack while squatting. It also includes a pair of high-grade spotter arms for squatting outside the rack. The upgraded sandwich j-cups have a thick lining of UHMW plastic so there's never steel on steel contact with your barbell.

Both the inside and the outside of each upright is sprayed with a thorough layer of high-quality powder-coat, making it extremely rust resistant, especially in more humid climates.

WHAT ATTACHMENTS COME INCLUDED WITH THE RACK?

Unlike other systems that require you to spend hundreds more on essential accessories, the Dane 2.0 includes five attachments at no additional charge, a value of over $600. With these five additional attachments, the Dane 2.0 delivers a versatile training setup right out of the box, making it one of the most comprehensive and cost-effective functional trainers on the market today.

  1. Two D-handles
  2. A pair of Reverse Sandwich J-cups

  4. Landmine attachment
  5. High-grade spotter arms

THE DREAM SQUAT RACK FOR EVERY HOME GYM

30 Workouts you can do with the Dane 2.0

The weight stacks weigh 160lbs each, so you get 320lbs of total resistance. Both weight stacks are adjustable from 10lb - 160lbs in 10lb increments.

A 1:1 pulley ratio means the weight you select is the actual weight you feel when lifting or pulling.

If you’re doing a lat pulldown and select 100lbs, you will feel exactly 100lbs of resistance. Some functional trainers have a 2:1 ratio, meaning selecting 100lbs would actually feel like 50lbs because the pulley system reduces the load.

A 1:1 ratio is great for strength training because it provides a more realistic resistance, similar to free weights.

No, you do not need to bolt down the Dane 2.0. The weight stacks and extension feet provide rock solid stability, even when performing movements like kipping pull-ups or muscle ups.

Yes, you can use most other rack attachments that are designed for 3" X 3" uprights with 1" holes. The Dane 2.0 is also compatible with most other handle attachments on the market.

No, they are not magnetic. Magpins and other magnetic accessories will not stick to the stainless steel uprights.

We do not currently offer upgrade options for the weight stacks, but we're working on it!

Yes, you can upgrade to all stainless steel uprights. The unit does not come with stainless steel but you can purchase additional uprights here.

The Dane 2.0 comes with the following attachments:

  • Pair of low profile spotter arms
  • Pair of reverse sandwich J-Cups
  • Pair of D-Handles
  • Pair of extension feet
  • Landmine attachment

Yes, the squat rack has a lifetime warranty and the pulley system has a 5 year warranty.

YOU'RE WONDERING.
WE GOT YOU.

Dane 2.0: a pair of low-profile spotter arms, upgraded reverse sandwich J-cups, a pair of D-handles, a pair of extension feet, and a landmine attachment. That is $600 worth of attachments included free, where most trainers charge you hundreds more for the same pieces.

Dane 2.0 (Gibbon Arms Bundle): everything in the Dane 2.0 plus the Gibbon Arms.

Dane 2.0 (Fully Loaded Bundle): everything in the Dane 2.0 plus the Gibbon Arms, the BOB Smith Machine, and a 20kg Wonder Bar barbell.

The stack moves in 10lb increments, but if you want to move in 5 lb increments then get our Midas Touch Weight Adder. Technically, it's only 2.5lb increments if you're using 1 side of the cable system.

Midas Touch Weight Adder View

The El Toro weight stack horn adds up to 300lbs of standard Olympic plates. Worth knowing too: 160lb at a true 1:1 ratio is not the same as a 260lb stack on a 2:1 machine. Run the math and the Dane's 1:1 setup delivers more usable resistance per pound than most functional trainers.

El Toro Stack Horn View

The Dane 2.0 is designed with a 1:1 pulley system, so 100lbs feels like 100lbs. If 2:1 is a top priority for you, we're launching the Dane 3 and The Great Dane into the growing Dane Family in Fall 2026.

Cable twisting can happen on every functional trainer, and we would rather be upfront about it than pretend otherwise. This video covers what causes it, how to fix it, and how to prevent it.

The unit is 92" tall and the mounting brackets need roughly 95" of clearance to assemble it the standard way. If your ceiling is lower than that, keep an eye out for the Dane Low, coming soon.

About 60" from the wall with the front extension feet on. The extension feet are completely optional and the Dane 2.0 is a tank even without them. Your depth is closer to 33" without them if you're working in a smaller space, and many customers run the Dane 2 this way.

There is a step-by-step instructional video. Assembly takes a couple of hours or more depending on the space you are working in, and watching the video first makes it go a lot faster.

Not as a dedicated station out of the box, but if you get The Drew, the Lat Pulldown Seat, and our Low Row Foot Plate at purchase, you'll have them from day one. Those are a few of our most popular add-ons to the Dane 2.0 by a long shot.

Yes. Add The Drew Lat Pulldown Extender if you want to be sure. The Drew keeps your Dane 2.0 at the same overall height, but it raises the lat pulldown by about a foot. Roughly 11.5 inches, to be exact.

The Drew Lat Extender View

We recommend purchasing a Dane 2.0 now, and we take care of our customers instead of punishing the people who bought early. We're always improving our equipment for our customers!

Yes. Unless you plan on repping 1200lbs, you'll be fine. Watch Tim drop 615 pounds on the Dane 2.0, onto our Needle Spotter arms, and it just sits there like the tank it is.

We do have other functional trainers at Fringe Sport that our customers love. Check out The Fenrir and The Slim Gym.

Yes. You're on the Fully Loaded Bundle, and the Smith Machine is already in it.

This bundle is the Dane 2.0 plus the Gibbon Arms, the BOB Smith Machine, and a 20kg Wonder Bar barbell. Nothing else to add and nothing else to buy.

BOB mounts on the back of the rack, and setup is typically easy. Watch the assembly walkthrough before you start and it goes a lot faster.

BOB Smith Machine Included
  • 5 stars: 155 (85%)
  • 4 stars: 19 (10%)
  • 3 stars: 4 (2%)
  • 2 stars: 1 (1%)
  • 1 star: 4 (2%)

So far, the quality seems really good. My workouts have been solid. I haven't had any issues with the cable travel or stack weight; the cable stack is actually much heavier than I expected at 160, and I think it will actually be fine for both rows and pulldowns. There were a few annoying assembly things that I wish were clearer, although the video was pretty good. The cables came pre attached to the end pieces with was slightly annoying because they won't fit through the wheels unless you deconstruct them. Also, the cable wheels come loose, and I think it would be nice if it came with some info about how tight to tighten them. I also felt that there was much more room for pullups if you put the handles facing outward instead of inward towards the rack, it would have been nice if they had mentioned that they could be on either side. Lastly just some basic maintenance info on the instructions would be good, since it comes with some lube, I'm assuming for the cable uprights. Overall, it showed up in much better shape than my titan bench and with better instructions and I would definitely recommend it.

The Dane 2.0 came packaged very well and included everything. The video on assembly was very easy to follow, and everything is working even better than expected. Everything was also delivered in a timely manner. Very pleased!

Only used this for a little bit, but so far so good.I think the market for this type of product is getting crowded, and there were value-play competitors I considered that would have cost less, or would have tossed in more attachments at the same price. That said, when I use this thing it feels as good as what I gave up by forgoing a gym membership. And I dont know that the premium I could have paid for certain high-tier competitors, like REP, would have bought much more quality. Overall, its a big purchase that I am at peace with and hoping to enjoy for many years.

Great Quality/Very Versatile

I researched different racks from different companies for months. I wanted a rack that would meet all my different needs. This one does that. Installation was easy with the videos. I purchased the Gibbon arms since I’m taller and it added to what was already a great rack. I love how they keep adding attachments to this rack for more options with limited space. As a firefighter, I wanted something that was going to be functional and give me options I would have at a gym without having to travel to the gym. The Dane 2.0 is that. My one complaint is the cables twist every now and again but I guess that’s to be expected with the Gibbons. I didn’t have that issue with the OG cable arms that came with the Dane. Oh well. Not a huge issue. Overall the shipping was fast, customer service is always great, and they are always adding more items and discounts for their customers. I love Fringe Sport. I do have one request. If Fringe Sport could create a sliding bench/leg press footplate like Force USA. It would give a leg press option with limited space, and complete a home gym. Not to mention the comp they would give them. I haven’t seen anything else like it. I would give them all my money. 😉 They can call it the “Bryan”. I wouldn’t be mad. 😂 Buy this rack! I promise you won’t regret it!

Sick Rack

I gotta admit the Dane 2.0 is one of the best racks I ever used. That 1:1 ratio is well worth it. The cable are smooth. The rack is a beast and very beefy 10/10. If u are looking for a great rack don’t turn this one away pick it up u won’t regret it.

Amazing

I recently purchased the Dane 2.0 to replace my previous rack I bought off of Amazon 2 years ago. The Dane is such a worthwhile investment. It kicks the crap out of that Amazon rack and then some! The cables are smooth with no friction, the build quality is great to be able to safely do squats, bench press at multiple angles, and rack pulls off of the rack. I’ve also done landmine rows and pull downs off of the rack with the Drew. The only thing I’ve yet to try yet is the BOB Smith Machine but I’m sure that will be great too once I utilize it. Very impressed!

Love the Dane 2.0, my only drawback is cable twisting. Not terrible but have had to fix a few times and I wish I would have bought a free weight holder for sides.

Excellent Quality Rack

Breaking it down to Pros and Cons:Pros: First the quality is top notch. I have been in gyms for 35 years and never seen anything better. From each bolt to every piece this thing will take a punishment and look as good as it did the first day in 30 years from now. Second it is very simple to put together. The instructions and videos are all easy to follow and while it takes some time it is just a lot of pieces and not anything where you are left wondering is this the right bolt or is this in the right spot. Third I love the functionality. There are a ton of extras you can add on but this thing comes out of the box with almost everything you need. You can also arrange or design it anyway you want to fit your garage gym. Cons: The delivery was a potential mess. There is one guy who delivers for the company and Fringe should give him something nice at the end of the year because he saves them a ton of sales or bad will. The package is huge and so is the truck that delivers it. Fringe doesn't tell you this and lets you find out when the guy calls the morning of. He asks if your street will fit his truck or if your driveway will let him move a ton up an incline. Once it hits the ground it is yours and I can only imagine how many get sent back or people get angry moving it piece by piece. He and I were able to get mine up the driveway and into my garage with some runway and a few good pushes. The other option is a forklift and while that isn't expensive you have to reschedule delivery and if you call customer service they act like that is your problem not theirs. Though it is never offered or spoken of earlier. Without the drive you probably would never know. Next con is the pulley system. The twisting is not only real it is 1980's landline phone cord real. I had to go online to find a video to help correct it. It isn't on the site or in the emails but I found it on an instagram reel. Even then you already installed it and it is a major pain to take apart and correct. It is also only a minor fix. I have done it twice and still my pulleys twist. They twisted so bad that they cable jumped the pulley and stripped. I had to order a new cable. That takes me away from my workouts for the 3 weeks I waited for the new cable. It also is a design problem. The cable is a little too long and the functionality twists it in many ways. My system is still twisting on both sides to this day. They told me they have a swivel and would send it to me but still waiting on that. Also, if you know the design is so bad that you have to invent swivels for it just send the swivels with the unit. I am sure it will be fixed in the Dane 3.0 but for now this is so bad it brings me down a full star and a half. Overall: If you could get a unit without pulley problems you would have the perfect system that would last you forever. You literally could just keep adding things to this for every new workout you find until they give us a pill to keep us in shape. It is a beast and it looks great as well. The price is also a fraction of the others stuff out there that doesn't last or isn't as nice or functional. Because of all that I would still buy it and live with the pulley problems and be a happy man. If you want a complete garage set up this will get you 80% of what you need and I imagine if they add leg attachments you get the other 20% very soon. My cons are not to deter you from buying but rather to encourage Fringe to fix their delivery/customer service transaction and the pulley twirl problem.

We really appreciate the detailed feedback and understand your concerns. We’ve followed up via email so we can help take care of this more closely, please check your inbox and feel free to reply there anytime.

Lives up to the hype!

I'm 54 and focused on two things: building muscle and staying healthy enough to keep lifting for years to come. The Dane 2.0 checks every box.The cable system is smooth, the 1:1 pulley ratio means the weight you pick is the weight you actually feel, and having full adjustability means I can dial in angles that are easy on my joints. No more fighting through exercises that hurt the wrong things. It's basically a half rack and functional trainer in one, so I'm saving space AND money compared to buying two separate units. The 1,200lb rack capacity means I can load up when I want to push, and the spotter arms keep things safe when I'm training alone. At my age, smart training beats ego lifting every time.

The cable system is smooth, the 1:1 pulley ratio means the weight you pick is the weight you actually feel, and having full adjustability means I can dial in angles that are easy on my joints.

Perfection for me

Stop overthinking all of the options out there and just buy this. The bang for your buck is unbelievable. All of the "compromises" are easily fixed with add ons like the "Drew" and fractional adder weights to overcome the 1:1 10lb jump issue. Build quality is fantastic, customer support is top notch and pricing is extremely competitive for what you get. I looked at everything on the market before just deciding to stop overthinking things and I sure am glad I did. This is a fantastic piece of equipment that I'm thrilled to own.

Excellent upgrade for my home gym

Really impressed with my purchase of the dane 2.0. I was a little worried about quality buying at this price range compared to more expensive brands but Fringe delivered! This thing is a tank and looks incredible. 1:1 ratio makes it heavy enough for all exercises. Grab a 5lb adder weight if you’re worried about 10lb jumps. The buying whole process was smooth and it arrived to my door in a week. Very happy customer!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

I’ve updated my will to leave all of my money to my Dane

Spent way too long researching different halfrack functional trainers, but Dane was always the one. Set up was pretty simple and easy, and I’m really impressed with the sturdiness and build quality. I’d recommend it to anyone.

WOOHOOOO we love that! Thank you for the feeback. :)

1st gym rack

This has exceeded my expectations in every way. This is commercial quality equipment for the professional home owner. The 11 gauge steel makes a significant difference in how sturdy this rack is compared to more budget options plus the 3x3 eco system allows for attachments from other companies.

Great Rack

This thing is pretty great. My only complaints are that the cable ratio is 1-to-1, which I can live with, and the cable twisting. I’ve tried everything I could find online to stop this and it’s just something I guess I have to live with. I went with the bare metal uprights and the sliders are so smooth.
