Start Every Rep From the Top
Most cable belt squat systems force you to start from the bottom position. The Kodiak works differently.
The rack-mounted hook holds the load at the top of the movement. Once you stand up and take the weight, the hook drops away automatically.
Result: Easier setup, safer starts, and more energy available for the actual set.
True 1:1 Loading
Every pound you load feels like a pound.
The pulley system is designed around a 1:1 ratio, creating direct resistance without mechanical reduction.
Result: Real weight. Real strength training.
Perfect Vertical Pull
The front foot pulley system creates an ideal cable path directly beneath the lifter.
No forward pull. No backward drift. No awkward compensation.
Result: A belt squat that feels natural and balanced throughout the entire movement.

A standalone belt squat machine is one of the best pieces of equipment you can put in a home gym. It's also one of the most expensive, and the most space-hungry.
The Kodiak changes that math entirely.
If you already have a half-rack functional trainer, you already have most of what you need. The Kodiak plugs into that existing setup, routing your rack's cable down through a floor-level pulley foot that sits in front of the unit. The load comes from directly below your hips, exactly the way a commercial belt squat machine delivers it, without adding a second machine to your gym.
Because the Kodiak works within your rack's existing cable system, the felt load matches whatever pulley ratio your functional trainer already runs. Run a 2:1 system and your belt squat runs 2:1. Need more resistance? The Kodiak is compatible with the El Toro Dual Mounted Weight Horns, which keep the added load centered and prevent any dragging along the guide rods.
The handlebar adjusts on the uprights just like a J cup, so you can set your grip height to match your squat depth and stance. The included belt has three attachment positions built in to fit a range of athletes. The concrete anchor bolts the foot to the floor so nothing shifts mid-set.
Setup requires cutting the cable to length during installation. Cable cutters are included.

Unlike most cable belt squat setups, Kodiak uses a monolift-inspired hook system that allows lifters to begin every set from the top position. Once the load is lifted, the hook automatically disengages, creating a smooth and natural squat pattern while eliminating awkward setup at the bottom.
A true 1:1 pulley ratio ensures that every pound loaded is felt directly by the lifter. Combined with a perfectly vertical cable path and a tested capacity of 600 pounds, Kodiak delivers a training experience comparable to commercial belt squat machines while occupying only a fraction of the space. Built from steel, UHMW, and aluminum components and finished with Fringe's signature Warhawk Red accents, Kodiak is designed for lifters who want heavy leg training without heavy spinal loading.
Whether you're chasing strength, training around injuries, or simply maximizing the versatility of your cable machine, Kodiak provides a smarter way to squat.
"Cable Belt Squats Made Easier"
"Our Newest Belt Squat Offering"
The Kodiak works with any 3x3 half rack functional trainer with 1" holes. This includes the Fringe Sport Dane 2.0 and similar half-rack cable units from other brands that share the same upright spec.
It works alongside it. The Kodiak taps into your existing cable run and routes it through the floor-level pulley foot which is bolted to a front upright. Your rack's other cable functions are unaffected.
That depends on your rack's pulley ratio. The Kodiak matches whatever ratio your functional trainer already uses. If your rack runs 2:1, your belt squat runs 2:1.
Yes. The Kodiak is compatible with the El Toro Dual Mounted Weight Horns, which add loadable sleeve capacity to your existing stack. Dual horns are recommended over a single horn to keep the weight centered and avoid cable drag along the guide rods.
It’s recommended for most setups with selectorized weight stacks, but is a must for racks that are exclusively plate-loaded. A concrete anchor is included for this reason. Under heavy enough loads the foot will want to lift, and bolting it down keeps the movement pattern consistent and safe.
Installation requires cutting your cable to length using the included cable cutters (see installation video for instructions). Beyond that, the handlebar pins into the upright and the foot bolts to the floor.
