Double Horn for the win!111

Game changer!!!! Now with the ability to double stack weight and it can double as a stabilizer when deep squatting! Absolutely impressed with the Mammoth Belt Squat and adding the double horn amplified it!

Gets the job done.

I purchased the belt squat with the kickstand. When it arrived I thought to myself, I bet some people will not have the right size tools to put this together. The bolts are pretty large. If you don't work on cars or have a lot of tools you may not be able to put this together. But I have the proper tools and it went together easy, with one exception, the weight horn. The weight horn is one simple bolt screwed in from the bottom of the belt squat into the weight horn. The easiest thing to put on. I don't know exactly why but the bolt would only go in to a point and would not budge. I mean, I put this thing in a Vise and cranked the vise down has hard as I could on the weight horn. But the bolt would not screw in. I went on YouTube to watch an installation video thinking I may be doing something wrong. I had to laugh, in the video the guy easily attached the weight horn and tightened it up with almost no effort. So I called customer service and they did not hesitate to say they would send out a new weight horn. Since I wanted the duel horn I asked if they could send the duel horn and I would pay the difference. They said they would send the duel horn at no extra cost. I was amazed at the excellent customer service. I was advised they have had some issues with the regular weight horn and are working to rectify it. I also bought the Swan attachment. The Belt squat, kick stand, weight horn and the Swan have all been a great addition to my extensive home gym. Is this as smooth as the rogue Monster belt squat machine? Of course not. Is it perfect? No. But for what this is, I would have to say it gets the job done, saves a ton of space, is cost effective and is an all around good product worth buying. At the end of the day, your body couldn't care less if your belt squat cost $2000 or $200 as long as it works the muscles you intend to work and the Fringe Sport Belt Squat system does it well.

Great upgrade!

Love the dual mounted weight horns! Far easier to use than the single horn and allow loading far more weight for my squats! Highly recommend!

Disappointed

After receiving the products I ordered for $443 with tax included (belt squat, kickstand and the horns mounting), I found that they would not fit in my limited space. So I returned them, and the company took $43 away from me on my refund and only refunded me $400. Most companies I have dealt with online have fully refunded me if the product was not what I wanted or needed. So I'm very disappointed. I returned everything in the condition sent to me. Under these circumstances it is unlikely I would ever order any products from this company in the future.

Dual weight horns work well, easy to install, but placement a bit off

The weight horns are great to have, and loading them is easy. My only grip is that if you have the kickstand, which I do, you cannot mount the weight horn at the end of the belt squat. Instead you'll have to mount the weight horn about 6-8 inches inwards, which is not optimal torque-wise. An ideal situation would be to have the kickstand AND weight horns mounted at the far end the belt squat, but would require redesign of the backets for each.

Good product but I regret buying it

This set of horns is good in that it seems to be well built and was very easy to install. On the surface, it would seem to accomplish its purpose of allowing room for more weight, which is why I wanted it. What I didn’t realize before ordering, however, is that once you put plates on it, the weights take up the space where your knees go at the bottom of the squat. In other words, with these weight horns loaded with any plates, I can’t squat because my knees hit the plates. The only solution is to remount the horns further from me, which is easy to do but also puts the weight closer to the fulcrum (the Fringe Sports belt squat system is simply a lever attached to a squat rack). This increases leverage and therefore reduces the actual weight that I lift, thus defeating the purpose of buying these in the first place. YMMV but It was a waste of money for me to buy these.

Great addition

I can now load more plates on the mammoth and it is easier to load/unload plates.

Great addition to MBS

This product is so good I actually gave it 4 stars because it should be standard with the mammoth belt squat. In order to really maximize the belt squat setup you need to add heavy weight and the standard single horn cannot hold enough plates unless you buy super expensive thin steel plates.Just buy it if you can squat more than 225.

Good enough?

I’ve owned the mammoth for a while now and finally decided to add the horns. I’m a bit disappointed in the plate position when fully loaded. Knees tend to graze the weight and it can feel like you’re trying to dodge a knee impact. Not amazing, but good enough for a low budget load increase upgrade.I’m 5’8”.. if you’re tall this thing may not work well for you. What really bugs me and got this thing the 3 star review is how incredibly unstable the entire system feels now when loading and unloading the plates. Big sway in the kick stand leg. I feel like this thing is destined to torque and twist now. I’ll be checking hardware much more regularly to see if things are coming loose faster. We need an upgrade kick stand. It seems the kickstand in the photo of the horn market material has an extra big bolt in it compared to the one mine has, which is one big bolt and then a tiny little nylock nut. First Gen vs second Gen? Who knows?..

Better than before, but now the support leg feels less stable

This has overall been an improvement for me, due to being able to add more weight. The support leg now feels less stable, though, as the weights are more spread out laterally, from the central belt squat axis. The unit sways back and forth more on the support leg, especially when adding or removing weights. In my opinion, it would be better to have an upgraded support leg too, so that it doesn't sway back and forth so much.

Just what I needed!

Had the single horn. Worked but needed more space for weight. Dual horns have been a blessing.

Mammoth duel weight horns

Really cool upgrade for the mammoth belt squat. Way easier to load and unload plates. Also it can hold more weight if you've maxed out the single horn. I didn't need the extra weight the single held enough for me, but it's nice to know it's there if I need it.

Belt Squat

Overall, I have to say the belt squat is a great piece of equipment! I had shoulder surgery a few years ago and was having trouble holding on to the bar during back squats. Using the belt squat made a huge difference! No more struggling to hold the bar and I can concentrate on lifting the weight now. Also, I added the dual weight horns to my belt squat and made it even better! I also found adding the horns changed the position of the weight and made it harder. I went from using 310 on the single post down to 250 on the dual horns, just by the placement of the horns on the belt squat arm. So now I can really work the legs!! The belt squat is a great addition to my home gym! Thanks Fringe, for this great piece of equipment!!

Great Support

Immediately after my purchase, I noticed that I didn't apply the coupon code. I emailed support and Pam replied immediately and resolved the situation. As for the product, the assembly was simple and I was squatting in under 20 minutes. It fit great on my RepFitness rack. I bought it after a recommendation from a friend.
