Our Savage Bumper Plates have tiger streaks of color throughout them, making them easy to identify. While the color streaks certainly catch your eye, it's easy to forget that they are also super helpful. The color comes in handy both in a crowded gym setting when you gotta get what you need fast and also at home when you're just trying to get a quick workout in and don't have time to double-check the plates you're loading.
The Savage Bumper Plates represent the ideology of never stopping, never giving up, and never backing down. WODs don't just take physical strength, they take MENTAL strength! It's our mission to remind every athlete that it's not about who can lift the most, it's about how far you push yourself outside of your comfort zone.
Our Savage Bumper Plates are covered in almost bombproof rubber that preserves the iron so they will not rust when exposed to wet surroundings."
If you lift often, you're likely already familiar with bumper plates. If you're not lifting often, bumper plates are great for beginners and experts alike because they protect your barbell if and when the barbell is dropped from any lift. But do you know why bumpers are so much more popular than iron weights? When you compare the two, bumper plates are prized for their quiet nature and lower bounce due to their material. Since they're made of 100% virgin rubber, they're ideal for both home gyms and box gyms as they naturally absorb sound.
With rubber absorbing the sound, you can forget about obnoxious noise waking up your sleeping kids or neighbors, but that's not all our bumper plate rubber does. Our rubber is specifically crafted to create a low bounce when dropped, so you spend less time getting back to the bar and more time making gainz.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are these plates low odor like the rest of your plates? If not how can I remove the smell?
Our amazing savage plates are indeed low odor, as they are made the same way the rest of our best on the market plates are made. If you find there is a smell to the plates when they arrive at your house, you can wash them with warm water and dish soap, leave them outside in the sun for 2- 3 days and then you can spray with Armor All or mineral oil (a very light coat) to remove the smell from the plates!
I usually use Steel plates but decided to try these since they were on sale. They are well made and the design is nicer than the Rogue Fleck. The only flaw i see is that the 50 mm diameter has some slop on My Rogue Bar. I would buy them again. I may get the 10 and 25 when they go on sale again. They are more expensive than the Rogue Fleck even with Shipping.
I've been collecting my garage gym equipment slowly over the last 3 years and have a mix of black bumpers and milspecs. While I think the quality is excellent for those two lines, the Savage plates just feel like a premium product. The outer rim lip is deeper than the milspec 45s, and the rubber is slightly tackier to the touch, making them way easier to move around the gym. Plus they look super cool. 10/10.
I have 10s, 15s, 25s, and 45s from the black bumpers and MilSpec lines and have been very happy with them, but holy moly these rule. The tiniest of differences in depth of the outer rim and slightly grippier rubber to the touch makes 45s so much easier to move around than my other pair of 45s, MilSpecs. They look amazing, are accurate, and manufacturing quality seems even better - and that's considering I think Fringe quality is already elite tier among the top brands.
