THE DANE 2.0

The Dane 2.0 features a half rack in the front with a commercial grade functional trainer built into the rack. The combination of squat rack & functional trainer in one provides a smaller footprint (and lower price point) than two stand alone units. With a length of only 60” from front to back, The Dane 2.0 is extremely space efficient for all the functionality it brings to the table. The squat rack is sturdy, commercial grade, and includes a pair of low-profile spotter arms for performing squats outside the rack. The pulley system is also highly adjustable, allowing you to customize the angle, range of motion, and resistance for each exercise.

COMMERCIAL GRADE PULLEY SYSTEM

The Dane 2.0 features dual 160lb weight stacks with a 1:1 pulley ratio, so 100lbs feels like 100lbs.

A 1:1 pulley ratio provides the same heavy resistance while requiring half the stack size of a 2:1 system. This means the Dane 2.0 can maintain a compact 60” footprint without compromising on performance. By maximizing resistance in a smaller design, this functional trainer saves space and cost, making it a smarter investment for compact spaces.

LET'S TALK UPGRADES

One of the biggest upgrades on the Dane 2.0 is the improved top plate design, which has been reduced from 10lbs to 5lbs based on user feedback. Many lifters requested a lighter starting weight for more precise adjustments, especially for isolation exercises, rehab work, and beginner-friendly training. We've also added a dedicated hole for the selector pin when using only the top plate, making it easier and more secure to lock in your starting weight.

We’ve also re-engineered the weight stack design to be more compact, which increases cable travel outside of the rack. The Dane 1.0 allowed for 5 feet of cable movement, but the Dane 2.0 extends nearly 6 feet, giving you more freedom for full-range movements. Despite this increased range of motion, the Dane 2.0 maintains its dual 160lb weight stacks with a 1:1 pulley ratio, delivering true-to-weight resistance in a compact footprint.

The Dane 2.0 is also equipped with upgraded aluminum pulleys featuring a wider pulley channel, which minimizes friction and drag. This ensures a more direct force transfer and an overall smoother pull.

The pulley cables reach 5.8' outside the rack and operate on a 180 degree swivel, giving you plenty of room for cable work outside the rack. With a height of 93", The Dane 2.0 provides plenty of reach for high & low cable positions, like lat pull-downs and low rows.

The Dane 2.0 Functional Trainer features custom-fit rollers that allow the trolleys to glide effortlessly up and down the rack. Designed for ease of use, the trolleys are light enough to be moved with just one hand, making them incredibly user-friendly. Despite their lightweight design, these trolleys remain rock-solid during use. Once the pop pin is secure, they won’t budge.

THE RACK

Don't let the pulley system steal the show, the rack portion of The Dane 2.0 is just as enticing. Made from 11-gauge steel, The Dane 2.0 features a commercial grade squat rack with a 1,200lb weight capacity. The uprights are 3" X 3" with 1" holes.

The Dane comes with a pair of extension feet which increase the stability at the base of the rack while squatting. It also includes a pair of low-profile spotter arms for squatting outside the rack. The upgraded sandwich j-cups have a thick lining of UHMW plastic so there's never steel on steel contact with your barbell.

Both the inside and the outside of each upright is sprayed with a thorough layer of high-quality powder-coat, making it extremely rust resistant, especially in more humid climates.

WHAT ATTACHMENTS COME INCLUDED WITH THE RACK?

Unlike other systems that require you to spend hundreds more on essential accessories, the Dane 2.0 includes five attachments at no additional charge, a value of over $600. With these five additional attachments, the Dane 2.0 delivers a versatile training setup right out of the box, making it one of the most comprehensive and cost-effective functional trainers on the market today.

  1. Two D-handles
  2. A pair of Reverse Sandwich J-cups

  4. Landmine attachment
  5. Low profile spotter arms

Dual 160lb Weight Stacks

The Dane 2.0 features dual 160lb weight stacks with a 1:1 pulley ratio. Both weight stacks are adjustable from 10lb - 160lbs in 10lb increments. With a the new compact weight stack design, the pulley cables reach 5.8' outside the rack and move on a 180 degree swivel, giving you plenty of room for cable work outside the rack.

Commercial Grade Squat Rack

Along with the functional trainer, The Dane 2.0 also features a commercial grade squat rack in the front. Every Dane includes a pair of low-profile spotter arms for squatting outside of the rack and a pair of extension feet for extra stability at the base of the rack while squatting.

Commercial Grade Pulley System

The Dane 2.0 now features higher-quality aluminum pulleys with a larger diameter, creating an even smoother pull compared to the Dane 1.0. This upgrade reduces friction and drag, allowing for fluid motion and better control throughout each rep. In addition to performance improvements, we’ve given the Dane 2.0 a bold new look with Warhawk Red accents on the pulleys and accessories, adding an aggressive yet sleek aesthetic to the rack.

THE DREAM SQUAT RACK FOR EVERY HOME GYM

30 Workouts you can do with the Dane 2.0

The weight stacks weigh 160lbs each, so you get 320lbs of total resistance. Both weight stacks are adjustable from 10lb - 160lbs in 10lb increments.

A 1:1 pulley ratio means the weight you select is the actual weight you feel when lifting or pulling.

If you’re doing a lat pulldown and select 100lbs, you will feel exactly 100lbs of resistance. Some functional trainers have a 2:1 ratio, meaning selecting 100lbs would actually feel like 50lbs because the pulley system reduces the load.

A 1:1 ratio is great for strength training because it provides a more realistic resistance, similar to free weights.

No, you do not need to bolt down the Dane 2.0. The weight stacks and extension feet provide rock solid stability, even when performing movements like kipping pull-ups or muscle ups.

Yes, you can use most other rack attachments that are designed for 3" X 3" uprights with 1" holes. The Dane 2.0 is also compatible with most other handle attachments on the market.

No, they are not magnetic. Magpins and other magnetic accessories will not stick to the stainless steel uprights.

We do not currently offer upgrade options for the weight stacks, but we're working on it!

Yes, you will be able to upgrade to all stainless steel uprights, but the upgrade will not be available until this summer.

The Dane 2.0 comes with the following attachments:

  • Pair of low profile spotter arms
  • Pair of reverse sandwich J-Cups
  • Pair of D-Handles
  • Pair of extension feet
  • Landmine attachment

Yes, the squat rack has a lifetime warranty and the pulley system has a 5 year warranty.

This product itself is insane!

The product is a 10/10. The trolleys are buttery smooth, the weight stack just glides effortlessly. The spotter arms and j cups are easily as nice as any rogue equipment I’ve owned at a fraction of the price. They also made the very intelligent decision to make it a 3x3 1 inch hole that everyone is using unlocking a huge ecosystem of attachments. Not to mention fringe is posting updates about cool things they’re developing for the rack right now. I would also love to see the ability to buy more plates for the function trainer in the future. It’d be nice to have the option to go over 200lbs by pin only. I really don’t need the extra length the 2.0 provides and if I ever do I can purchase cable extenders for nothing on Amazon. My only real complaint would be shipping. I live in a residential area where a semi truck can’t make it. I had to leave my house during the work day, rent a trailer, and then try to get it on a truck trailer, and with the awkward shape of the freight it took about 45 minutes of trying to winch it on. Had I not owned a truck SAIA informed me they’d ship it back to fringe.

Incredible rack!

First impression is this is commercial quality. The rack is firm and stable especially when using the pulleys. The available attachments helped me sell some equipment and condense down to one machine conserving space in my garage gym. I did weeks of research and the Dane 2.0 was highly recommended and I would absolutely buy again.

Great trainer that fits in small areas

I have been using the Dane 2.0 for a few months and I have to say the quality of this trainer is excellent. Has a lot of bang for you buck. Smooth pulley system and a very small foot print. All the components feel solid. Assembly was easy to follow while watching their YouTube video on the process although I did use my own tools rather than the supplied ones. Ratchet and socket make the job much easier. I recommend purchasing their rig step-up if you are on the short side. My 5' 1" wife looked up and the pull up bar and said there is no way she can reach that. My area is only 9' x 8 1/2' so not a lot of room. This trainer with a shorty bar is almost perfect for the size I have so if you are short on space this trainer would be good for you. Not all parts were in stock when I ordered, but their customer service has kept me informed with a lot of updates on the status. Now that everything has been delivered I couldn't be happier.

Dane 2.0 is a solid choice for all of your rack and cable column needs!

I will start off this review by noting that I wasn’t actually in the market for a rack given I already had a Rogue Monster Lite for a number of years in my private practice. But the IG ad caught my eye and got me thinking how the Dane 2.0 could improve upon a number of areas for efficiency with just one piece of equipment. While space-saving is one big feature, the Dane 2.0 is built solidly with high quality welds and a uniform durable powder coat. The trolleys move effortlessly up/down the uprights, and I have the standard black ones, not stainless steel. The cable column moves smoothly with more than enough length for a huge number of exercises as well as the appropriate amount of resistance from the 1:1 pull ratio. If you need lower resistance than 10lbs or smaller incremental jumps, you can get Crossover symmetry bands or 2.5/5lb adapter plates. For convenience, I use the top crossbar plate to hang mini carabiners to store my cable attachments. Be ready to pry open the large wooden crate the Dane is delivered in, using a crowbar and hammer. Also make sure you watch the assembly video to make the build process very easy; it took me about an hour 45 minutes to assemble on my own. I highly recommend the Dane 2.0 to anyone looking for a solid rack and cable column all in one. This is my first purchase from Fringe Sport and can’t rave enough about their customer support. You’ve gained a lifelong customer!

Dane 2.0 is Dane Good!

First real piece of home gym equipment I've owned beyond a bench & weights and man was I blown away. Assembly was for the most part super straight forward thanks to their YouTube video. Took me about 4 hrs to get it all together by myself. The ability to workout at home saves so much time which lets me workout for longer. The pros easily outshine the cons but there are small cons which is why it's not a perfect 5/5 (more like a 4.8/5). With that being said, I still recommend the Dane 2.0. Not one single regret for buying it. Pros Price to performance & features is top tier when I was comparing to competitors The cable pull is crazy smooth Amazing Support Lifetime warranty on the rack! (5yrs on the cable system) It's all that and a bag of high protein chips Free attachments are dope and don't sleep on landmine workouts! Extension Feet are pretty versatile since I'm able to use it for calve stretches & even calve raises Cons 10lbs increments can be a bit toasty (I would easily trade 1-2 weight stacks in exchange for a pair of 2.5lbs weight add-ons) Wish it was about 6 inches taller to get a pull ROM without having to lean back Would love if the pull up bar had some knurling Pegboard should be included, even if that means a small price bump Random thoughts Assembly Youtube video needs some minor updates like when to torque everything down Don't forget to lube the weight stack bars! Weight Stack stickers blend into the stack pin holes resulting in it being a bit cumbersome to insert the pin especially in poor lighting
