Final Day of SAVAGE WODS


Our last but certainly not least SAVAGE WOD is King Kong.


Yeahhhhh buddy! We couldn’t do the SAVAGE challenge here at Fringe Sport HQ and NOT have someone do this WOD. I mean… have you seen our packaging haha?

So why is King Kong called King Kong? It’s simple: It is THE Beast WOD of All Beast WODs. 

You see at a glance, you might look at this WOD and think huh, a few reps and a few different movements... Not too bad. 

Wrong.

King Kong demands YEARS (yes, years) of training and getting somewhat comfortable with a 206-kilo deadlift for males, and a 147-kilo deadlift for females. It’s 3 back-to-back rounds that include a heavy A$$ deadlift with muscles-up, cleans and handstand push-ups sprinkled in to make it extra SAVAGE. 


To put it differently, out of all the employees we have here at Fringe, only 2 were down to do this WOD. And this is an office full of people who love to lift! So that’s really saying something. 


So who are these two crazy SAVAGE people?? Lauren Pettineo, Head of Business Sales, and Travon Benton, Retail Rep here at Fringe Sport HQ. Lauren is one of the top 10 strongest women in the WORLD and she’s also the best person to call if you need some bumpers for your gym!! By her side for this WOD is Travon Benton, Baseball Player for Texas State and cross-functional fitness enthusiast. Let’s just say both of these folks take their groceries inside ALL IN ONE TRIP!
