Midas Mini | Shorty Power Bar

Great bar for use in a home, basement, gym. The bar does not extend past the weight horns attached to my Titan X-3 rack, so i do not have to watch my head as I walk by my rack when changing out the weight plates. The gold titanium finish is a nice look too on the sleeves. The grip on the Cerekote bar is mild, not too aggressive. I would love to see this bar with a 29mm diameter, stainless steel shaft, and a little more (but not too much) aggressive grip (knurling) on the bar. This is a great hybrid bar for the home gym. No complaints. My full size Titan bar is in the bar holder on the side of the rack collecting dust. I prefer to use this Midas Mini EVERYDAY. Thanks Fringe!

Bar is perfect length. Looks fantastic.

Well packaged and extremely well manufactured. This is the nicest looking bar I have it helps motivate me to want to go to my home gym haha. The pricing is great and it’s the nicest looking bar around.

The bar has been great! It still fits 3, 45 lb Savage Bumper plates WITH a clamp on the end. The weights slide on and off so easily with this coating. Would buy again.

Knocked down to 4 stars because it’s an import however it’s half the price of a domestic bar and I’m not dropping that coin on a mini bar. Absolutely stoked on this bars quality and feel. I may get the full-size 😅

Hello Fringe, I'm a huge fan of your products and I love my Midas shorty barbell. It's the best barbell that I own that works in my small space.

Great buying experience, this is my first bar and it looks and feels great! I’m so happy I went with the Midas

I've had this for 2 weeks now, absolutely love it and wish I had bought this years ago. This is much easier to work with than the full-size bar I had been using and I don't lift a ton of weight, so no need for full-size collars. This bar has the standard handle/sleeve length which is key to a shorter bar in my opinion, can still rack it and everything like a full size bar.

This bar is not only very nice but it's a lifesaver for people who have a smaller space to work with plus if you live in an area with high humidity, the cerakote and titanium sleeves are going to gelp

I just unpacked my mini Midas bar and as always it came intact and in a very timely manner, I’m very impressed with the packing that Fringe Sport put together, the bar seems to be very stable the knurling is moderate very nice. The finish on the bar is really nice. The gold sleeves sets off the black. I’ve got limited space and a very small area, but it fits really nice on my rack, hoping to set up my flat bench tonight ( again) and hopefully I’ll be able to use it as well as the rest of my stuff now on a sidenote, customer service is phenomenal. I could go on and on and on praising the efficiency of this company’s customer service reps, and then to be quite honest I order from this company because of their service reps and their customer communication and I will go even further to say I am happy and proud to be part of the Fringe family. With their quality products and proficient packing and shipping plus top-notch communication and exquisite customer service…. They have gained a loyal and humble customer, thank you for the services you provide, and everything you do, and the quality products that y’all carry… Bear😉

Not a lot of space in the home gym so this makes it less awkward putting plates

The Midas Mini has quickly become one of my favorite additions to our garage gym. The build quality is excellent — solid, durable, and clearly designed to handle heavy training without compromise. The knurling strikes that perfect balance: aggressive enough to provide a secure grip, but not so sharp that it tears up your hands during longer sessions. What really sets this bar apart is its size and dimensions. The shorter length makes it incredibly practical for tight spaces, like our garage setup, where maneuverability matters. Despite the compact design, it still feels substantial and stable under load, giving the same confidence as a full-length bar. Overall, the Midas Mini delivers on all fronts: quality, functionality, and thoughtful design. If you’re training in a smaller space but don’t want to sacrifice performance, this bar is a fantastic choice.

First barbell purchased for a compact home gym. Well packaged, fast delivery and a very well made barbell.

The bar is better than I expected at. The spin got better with use. Tolerance is better than the old wonder bar 2 I have. I picked this one up cause it was cheaper than the Colorado short bar due to the 10% coupon I got from Fringe. I wanted a short bar for superset work and was mulling over a short axel or short bar but ultimately went with the short as I can always add a fat grip to mimic axel.

I got the shorty Midas so it’d be easier to maneuver in my basement gym. I’m a mere mortal so I don’t think I will ever exceed the sleeve length using steel plates. The sleeves themselves look great, and rotate easily enough. I enjoy the knurling. The black and gold looks really cool on the all black Dane 2.0 rack. Shippping was pretty fast and it didn’t come with any damage. Price was good. Extremely happy with the bar

It’s the exact barbell I needed for my home gym. The short collars leave enough space to feel comfortable lifting in my house instead of the garage.

Love this short bar. Doesn’t take up as much room of course but stands out is the quality of workmanship. The gold ends are also showstopper. Lots of positive comments. The bar is naturally lighter than a full size Olympic bar.

I bought this bar originally because my gym space is small and i wanted a shorter bar for land mines. I was using an American barbell California bar which is much longer on my rack for bench press, and now find the versatility of the shorty bar to be quite nice. At 51 years old, i am not going to max out the bar anytime soon and the shorty bar works out well for me

needed a new short bar with less bite in the knurl for others in the household. Wish it had a little more spin, overall beautiful bar that fits for the gym space. Ribbed sleeves if that zinging affects the gym space but it’s not an issue for my space. 10/10 on packaging, no damage in transit

I love the convenience of being able to move this bar easily in a small home gym. Awesome bar for a small space. We now need a safety squat bar and multi grip bar with smaller sleeves with approximately 70 inch length total.

Great weights and Midas Bars!Only issue I had was that you can’t track your order unless you have a specific App that would not work on my phone. Otherwise I am extremely happy with the MilSpec Bumper Weights. And the Midas Open Trap Bar / Midas Shorty Bar. Would definitely recommend!

Great bar. Fits my 47in rack with room to spare. Have gotten a few compliments on the gold ends.

Beautiful and unique —gold sleeves and black finish shaft. The end caps are so cool I have been looking for a shorty and rackable barbell for some time as it would be beneficial for my small space. I thought the Black Friday price for this was fair l, even though I had my hesitations based on reviews of its counterpart. This did indeed came with rust and I believe like its regular counterpart, it’s probably got rusted shaft inside the sleeves. So I thought the regular version of the Midas had been addressed for their rust, but they seem to have forgotten to Inspect the Shorty version. Not only that, but like its counterpart, per reviews from the popular YouTube Channels, the sleeves did not spin. Neither did this one. Which is how it was discovered the shaft was rusted, when the reviews demonstrated taking the sleeves apart. Disappointed

Most epic bar ever owned, the size it perfect for our garage gym Bench Squats Curls PressDeadlift It is literally the perfect bar for everything. Just get it! It looks epic too!

Great knurling and high quality barbell. It works well for certain lifts in a smaller space.

Love the space saving design. Been wanting one of these for awhile now. Finally pulled the trigger and I am NOT disappointed. Great bar. The knurl is just right, in my opinion. A little more aggressive than Rogue’s standard knurl. I mainly use this bar for Bench Presses and Overhead Presses. Some Front Squatting. Awesome barbell!
