You'll be ready to spring into action in less than 5 minutes after simply inserting the 2 rear bolts, the hitch pin in the front, installing the replaceable skids and dropping the 2 rear handles into their slots. You only need 2 17mm wrenches or ratchets and you will be on your way to greatness.

Once you take them out, the slender Prowler profile leans up and out of the way, against a cluttered garage wall with ease. The small footprint also means that the Prowler also fits neatly into most car trunks, if you need to take your training mobile - pulling in the park, trekking on the trail or pushing in the parking lot are all possible in a snap.
The short, dedicated weight posts add a valuable feature. The shorter posts allow for easier bumper/weight plate removal, while also allowing for more even weight distribution across the sled, leading to better performance. The semi-gloss, powder coat finish makes for a solid grip while pushing, even with sweaty hands. Additionally, the Prowler offers versatility with an anchor point attachment for a harness to do pulling movements. Our Econ prowler sled arrived just when predicted. It works great! This very light but more than adequately strong sled is perfect for our purposes. I used to push and pull a big safety cage (for lifting) as a substitute "sled", which was hard even for me, and no way my wife could do it. Now she can get a very safe cardio workout, too. One of the big advantage of sleds is that you can easily "titrate" (adjust) the load to meet your cardio needs. Three other big pluses: of all machines, a sled is easiest on the joints and feet (like when you're old like us), it's also much, much less stressful on the back (unlike a rower or even a bike), and if you both push and pull like us, there's a definite upper body workout, too. We just take the car out of the garage and, using the back handles, push and pull the sled the length of the garage floor. Easy peasy, safe, and effective. We experimented with different weights for loads, and found our personal load needs. It was interesting that we did not have to make moving the sled super-difficult. We found that even without a big (but with a big enough) load, after about 3 minutes, it's VERY easy to get > 80% max. heart rate and keep it there. (Of course, if you are already strong, younger, and very fit, such a light sled, even with a good amount of weight, may be too little workout for you. YMMV). And EXCELLENT customer service. One "handle" came out of the box with nicks at the top (where you put your hands). It wasn't a big deal, but there was a chance we'd cut ourselves someday on the edges of rough bare metal. I simply took a photo of the defect and sent it to team@fringesports.com. They sent a perfect handle back, with their apologies. We couldn't be happier with the sled, ordering and shipping were easy and prompt, and we are very impressed with fringesports' after-sales customer service. Five stars.

While I appreciate the quick shipping, the Sled I purchased did not come with any directions on how to put it together. I eventually figured it out, but I still wouldn't give it a higher rating because of the quality - it's not as sturdy as I would like a sled to be. However, it is functional, and the price was decent.
