We took our popular regulation axle bar and cut it down to size. The short version we created, looks like a section of black iron, outdoor drainage pipe the Hulk ripped off the wall for you. Your strongman goals won't be pipe dreams with the shorty though. Don't hesitate to employ the shorty for functional fitness, overhead presses, Zydrunas presses or the dreaded continental clean. After a short stint of axle training in your garage, you'll be slaying job interviews, business meetings, dates and negotiations in no time.
There are a few things to note for the Short Axle Barbell.
I was having issues with a standard barbell length in my basement, and this short little guy fixed the problem easily and cheaply! Is taking some deloading to get my forearms used to the bigger grip, but that's a good thing!
This bar is great. Perfect for those short on space or looking to upgrade their curl bar. Don’t let the lack of knurling scare you off, the powder coating gives it adequate grip. The 2 inch diameter throughout is thiccc but manageable. I’ve got big mits but even my girl uses this bar. I incorporate this bar for variations of presses, rows, deads and curls. Highly recommend it.
I received my Short Bar last week. What I like about it.... for me (a woman over 60), I can get my hands around the bar, and it’s only 20-lbs. I use it for tighter biceps . As I age, I notice more flab than what I like, so working with my fat bar should help tighten them up! ☺️
