You have the right to...own a reliable and durable squat rack.

Ok, we're not reading you your Miranda Rights after busting you for squatting, but you're going to feel criminal lifting on our Garage Series squat rack just the same. We get a stream of guilt-ridden admissions from happy Garage Series owners for feeling like they stole it.

Jokes aside, the truth is you have an unalienable right to own a squat rack that gifts your lift, offering you a seamless experience.

You know when you buy coach and you get a surprise upgrade to first class? You get to kick off your shoes, have a drink handed to you, recline in a cushy seat, and you break into a Cheshire grin, enjoying life leveling up. Your lifting just got upgraded too.
This rack was designed to provide an affordable, at home option for squatting, benching, and pull-ups. This rack works best for home use and not in a box. If you're looking for a beefier option, check out our Fringe Sport Squat plus Pullup Rack- Strength Series. If you feel right at home, then read on.

That's what we've done with the Garage Series squat rack with pull-up bar. We took years of customer feedback from our commercial squat rack & pull-up bar, brought it to the Fringe forge and applied it. We developed the Garage Series and crafted it into our go-to garage squat rack, like that trusty reliever you can call on in the 9th to get those tough outs.

We poured double the usual amount of craftsmanship, work, and pride that's emblematic of our products into the Garage Series. Sure, you can buy more expensive racks that serve you better. However, you're taking a healthy risk going lower.

As Peter says, "You can spend more but you can NOT spend less and get a rack that is a joy to lift on today and 10 years from today." It's on record, so go ahead and hold him to it.

You know what you're going to say after a few months of lifting on this rack?

"This is my squat rack. There are many like it, but this one is MINE. My squat rack is my best friend. It is my Garage Series." Good luck sharing.

Additional Features

  • Enhanced Uprights: The uprights are everything for a garage gym rack. Knowing this, we used heavier gauge steel for improved stability.
  • Single Piece Upright: One solid piece of continuous steel that an ironworker would lust after.
  • Shorter Uprights: We got tired of the Garage Series bumping its head. We shortened it so that it comfortably clears average garage ceiling heights. Who doesn't say "ouch" when you see a semi with the trailer roof accordioned against an overpass? Most of the competition has a really bad bruise on their forehead.
  • Hole Spacing: We narrowed up the spacing in the bench press zone, so the Garage Series now abides with Westside spacing (1" from hole center to hole center) dude. We also added low holes, beneath the Westside spacing for rack pulls and other options.
  • Hole Placement: We didn't want to cut off our tall customers. So even though we shortened the uprights, we kept high holes for the vertically gifted.
  • Hole Size: 5/8" holes that the natives were restless for.
  • Compact Profile and Footprint: We found the sweet spot, Venn diagram intersection of small and stable. This may have involved some evil mathematical formula and three-dimensional sorcery. Please don't ask. Honestly, we used less steel on the bottom, yet still hit payday between maximizing stability and providing a lean footprint and profile.
  • Weight Pegs: Since we used less steel to provide that slim and trim footprint, we didn't want to shoot the Garage Series in the foot. So we added a couple of pins for added weight should you want.
  • 2" x 3" Uprights: We went to the industry standard for 2 reasons. 2" x 3" uprights create more stability and compatibility. You can use all our accessories (spotter arms, dip stations, J cups, etc.) on the Garage Series. Yes, it's also compatible with our competitors' accessories as well.
  • Footprint Tabs: Although it's as sturdy as a statue coming out of the box, we added the option to bolt it into the floor or a platform underneath (plywood for example).
  • Length from end of rack to back of upright: 22 inches. If pushed against a wall, there is 22in between the wall and start of the upright.
  • Easy assembly: You can put this bad boy together in under an hour, sometimes as fast as 45 minutes. One person can do it, but we recommend 2.
  • Easier to move: Doesn't seem much heavier than an old folding table you've carried.
  • FREE Shipping: You know you want it.

"This squat rack has met or exceeded all of my expectations. The rack is sturdy, seems like it is made of high-quality materials, my wife and I both like the size and feel of the pull-up bar, it looks good, and is the perfect height for my apartment. I haven't had to use it, but the return policy was a huge selling point for me."

Can people do kipping pull-ups on the garage series squat rack?

We don't recommend it unless the rack has been installed.

What is "Westside hole spacing"?

It's a type of upright drilling that places holes close together in the bench press area, allowing for very granular control of bar placement. Westside hole spacing means that there is 1" from hole center to hole center.

Just what I wanted

I just got my rack and it looks great. I wanted a good quality piece that feels sturdy, and that’s what I got. I heard fringe has good customer service and they definitely do. Overall it’s a great rack for my workout room, I would recommend to friends.

Buy this!

I purchased this pull-up bar last week online and used it this morning. That’s how good the shipping is. It’s also a quality item that was super easy to put together. You won’t find one for this quality at a better price.

Perfect for the Garage.

I wasn't sure if I made the right move after I made the purchase but once I put it together it was everything Fringe said it would be. It is sturdy and takes up minimal space. I can do my squats, presses, pull-ups, and banded mobility/exercises. Assembly was quick and easy for one person. Only bummer was that it went on sale for $100 less after I bought but that's the way it goes.

Perfect and compatible with other accs

Thanks to Noel's review (12/03/19) I did the exact same thing. I had the kid's rack, and worked well for me: I'm 5'3" and use a 60" bar so I don't accidentally swing around and wreck the car that I allow to share space in my garage gym. But I knew I wanted a bit more height for actual pull up attempts, and the weight horns for storage, other stuff. Easy to assemble after doing the prior smaller rack, didn't even open the instructions this time. Swapped out the horizontals, and I now have my own custom narrow rack - maybe Fringe should market one that way - we can't be the only two people who want a narrow rack for a shorter bar!

The Perfect In-Home Rack

I never write reviews, but I felt compelled. Super stable, well-made, incredibly versatile and the powder coating looks and feels great. The rack is the perfect size and height for in-home use, but does not feel small or compromised in any way. Works so well you just don't think about it when in use. I just wish I discovered this rack earlier!
