What if I want to jump in 5lb increments?

The stack moves in 10lb increments, but if you want to move in 5 lb increments then get our Midas Touch Weight Adder. Technically, it's only 2.5lb increments if you're using 1 side of the cable system.

What if I'm stronger than the weight stack?

The El Toro weight stack horn adds up to 300lbs of standard Olympic plates. Worth knowing too: 160lb at a true 1:1 ratio is not the same as a 260lb stack on a 2:1 machine. Run the math and the Dane's 1:1 setup delivers more usable resistance per pound than most functional trainers.

Is the pulley system a 2:1 ratio?

The Dane 2.0 is designed with a 1:1 pulley system, so 100lbs feels like 100lbs. If 2:1 is a top priority for you, we're launching the Dane 3 and The Great Dane into the growing Dane Family in Fall 2026.

Will the cables twist?

Cable twisting can happen on every functional trainer, and we would rather be upfront about it than pretend otherwise. This video covers what causes it, how to fix it, and how to prevent it.

Is this too tall for my space?

The unit is 92" tall and the mounting brackets need roughly 95" of clearance to assemble it the standard way. If your ceiling is lower than that, keep an eye out for the Dane Low, coming soon.

How much depth does it need?

About 60" from the wall with the front extension feet on. The extension feet are completely optional and the Dane 2.0 is a tank even without them. Your depth is closer to 33" without them if you're working in a smaller space, and many customers run the Dane 2 this way.

How long does assembly take, and is it hard?

There is a step-by-step instructional video. Assembly takes a couple of hours or more depending on the space you are working in, and watching the video first makes it go a lot faster.

Is there a center lat pulldown or low row station?

Not as a dedicated station out of the box, but if you get The Drew, the Lat Pulldown Seat, and our Low Row Foot Plate at purchase, you'll have them from day one. Those are a few of our most popular add-ons to the Dane 2.0 by a long shot.

I'm a tall person. Can I get full range of motion from the lat pulldown?

Yes. Add The Drew Lat Pulldown Extender if you want to be sure. The Drew keeps your Dane 2.0 at the same overall height, but it raises the lat pulldown by about a foot. Roughly 11.5 inches, to be exact.

Should I wait for the Dane 3 or The Great Dane instead of buying now?

We recommend purchasing a Dane 2.0 now, and we take care of our customers instead of punishing the people who bought early. We're always improving our equipment for our customers!

Is the Dane 2.0 safe as a half rack?

Yes. Unless you plan on repping 1200lbs, you'll be fine. Watch Tim drop 615 pounds on the Dane 2.0, onto our Needle Spotter arms, and it just sits there like the tank it is.

I don't have enough space. Do you have a wall-mount or slimmer version?

What about a Smith Machine? Is it included, and how hard is the setup?

Not in this bundle. The Gibbon Arms Bundle is the Dane 2.0 plus the Gibbon Arms. The Smith Machine is a separate piece.

Two ways to get it. Add the BOB Smith Machine attachment on its own at any point, or step up to the Fully Loaded Bundle, which is this build plus BOB and a 20kg Wonder Bar barbell for it.

Either way BOB mounts on the back of the rack and setup is typically easy. If you think you'll want one down the road, it's cheaper to take it now than to add it later.

The Dane 2.0 full loaded is a great complete home gym set up that can fit in most rooms with its medium sized foot print. I like that materials used on the Dane 2.0 are sturdy and well put together with no issues of loose and weak points in the welds. It took about 2 weeks to ship and tracking was provided all the way to my driveway. Beware of the total weight of this set up is around 1100lbs so make sure you are able to move the pallet or unload off the pallet to your home. The Fringe Sport team was fairly responsible and quick to answer and questions I needed and replacement on a smith machine grabber that was missing some internal components. I recommend the Dane 2.0 fully loaded to anyone who is looking to add a home gym rack to their garage gym or home.

I just recently received the dane2. Shipping was fast had no issues. Set up didnt take long. Been working out on it and can do every exercise i need to for my workout of the day. Love it!!

After 2 years of having a cheaper rack for my garage gym, I decided it was time to upgrade. The dane 2.0 fully loaded has exceeded my expectations. The gibbon arms and BOB smith machine are a must have in my opinion, and the versatility this machine offers is unmatched. I looked at other high end brands, but at this price point the dane 2.0 is hard to beat. Its an incredible machine and my only regret is not getting it sooner. Fringe has been killing it in the home gym category and their customer service is top tier. I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an affordable, high-quality rack.

The gym is very stout and extremely well built. Took me 6 hours alone to get everything done. Another hour for the BoB setup. Wasn’t too bad and I kind of enjoyed it. Shipping was so so but not the companies fault. I’m really happy with it and glad I went this route after a lot of research.

I can’t say enough about the Dane 2.0. It really surpassed my already high expectations. The 1:1 cable ratio has plenty of travel for any sort of exercise and the true feel of that 1:1 at the handles is humbling. Paired with the BOB Smith attachment the rig really opens up countless options for programming. I’m really looking forward to receiving the Gibbon arms and I might even let go of my Cybex lat pulldown to open up more space for another piece of equipment. I was on the fence about this purchase and I’m very glad I pulled the trigger. Buy once cry once.

Definitely keep an eye out for future promotions—they’re worth it.I received the rack along with the BOB Smith Machine, Wonder Bar Barbell, and Gibbon Arms (currently on pre-order). Overall, I’ve been very impressed with both the product and the company behind it.Assembly was straightforward thanks to the detailed instructions on their YouTube channel—it made the whole process much easier to follow and less intimidating. Once set up, the rack feels extremely sturdy and well-built, which gives me confidence when lifting. The trolley system is incredibly smooth and really stands out during workouts.I also appreciate the inclusion of free attachments like the J-hooks, spotter arms, extension feet, D-handles, and landmine attachment. It adds a lot of versatility right out of the box.I did run into one small issue: one of my J-hooks was defective and didn’t sit flush against the upright. I reached out to customer service around 3am and received a response by 8–9am the same morning. They quickly arranged for a replacement—super fast and hassle-free. Before we get into feedback, I want to say we LOVE the Dane 2.0. We just LLC'd our Garage Gym, The Standard, and exclusively have Fringe products for our racks, rigs, and accessories. We noticed a few visual inconsistencies in the assembly/instructions manual. Namely around the Pulley system images where you see renderings and real life photos that contradict one another and our instructions had a couple of typos when referencing piece/part numbers as it related to screws. I didn’t keep them post-assembly so I know that’s not much help. Technical things aside — we LOVEEEEE the Dane. It’s been an incredible addition to our garage gym. Having outfitted our garage gym almost exclusively with Fringe, we look forward to a long relationship with your brand and hope that we can explore possible partnership/ambassador opportunities with you all as we continue to add equipment and begin training as a business. I purchased the Dane 2.0 during the presale and it came a few weeks later. I've been starting a home gym and this was the ultimate addition, I could not be happier! Assembly is very simple. Although the instructions in the box should just say watch the Fringe Sport YouTube assembly video.Everything was packaged perfectly and came without damage. I was missing a bolt for the landmine attachment, but after contacting customer service one was shipped out immediately.I added the dip station with the purchase and an very pleased with how sturdy it is. I am still waiting on a few attachments that are on backorder but customer service has been great and provided updated shipping information on these items. Overall I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Completely changed how I use my functional trainer

I added the Gibbon arms to my Dane and it’s a total upgrade. The extra length gives me a full stretch on flys and rows without feeling cramped. Being able to adjust the arms in multiple positions makes hitting different angles much easier. The trolleys are smooth and easy to move compared to other systems. Install was straightforward, just took a little time swapping one cable. Worth it.

These turned my functional trainer into a legit crossover setup. I can hit my chest and back more effectively because the arms reach further and move freely. The units are quite light but still feel solid. Highly recommend if you want more versatility without buying another machine.

Great addition

The gibbon arms have really increased the versatility of the Dane 2. I am able to perform lat pull downs much easier now. The cable travel feels even smoother on the gibbon arms. All in all this is a big improvement over the base trolleys. My lone gripe is that when in the lowest position, the cable slack makes the pulleys more prone to twisting. Another great product from Fringe.
