A Lifetime Of Performance
This means that the Midas' Revenge Barbell will always perform well. This is a bar that’s meant to be used, and with that comes battle scars. Battle scars might look like scuffed collars or wear on the Cerakote shaft, but should be considered badges of honor for a well-used bar.
It won’t break under any circumstances, but if that does happen by chance, send us a message and we’ll get you back on your voyage of strength.
Aggressively Smooth
The Midas’ Revenge Barbell features a moderately-aggressive pyramid knurl covered in a smooth, corrosion-resistant Cerakote finish. It's slow, smooth, predictable spin was designed for slow lifts and powerlifters.
Fit For A King
Buttery, predictable spin from four aerospace-grade bronze oil-lite bushings feels great in your hands and moves smoothly.
Aerospace-grade bushings provide a lifetime of low maintenance and high performance.
If you’re looking for a sexy, ultra-durable general weightlifting barbell, the Midas’ Revenge Barbell will give you gainz as good as gold.
MAKE EVERYTHING YOU TOUCH TURN TO GAINZ.
Based on 11 years of experience and hundreds of thousands of barbells sold, the Midas Revenge Barbell is the gold standard of barbells for garage gyms. Good looks run in this family.

Introducing: Fringe Sport Midas' Revenge Barbell
Is The GOLD Midas Bar Worth The Hype?
The Midas Revenge Bar is suitable for all around use but slightly leaning towards Power Lifting (e.g. bench press, deadlifts, and squats).
Watch this video on how to properly clean your Midas Revenge Bar:
Ideally, you should perform maintenance on your Midas Revenge Bar every 12 to 18 months.
The sleeves are ribbed to ensure that the plates stay in place while lifting.
No, the sleeves are coated in gold colored titanium. Titanium is 40% lighter than high-strength steel, but is just as strong. This means the sleeves on the Midas’ Revenge Bar are ultra-durable and resistant against oxidation. Unfortunately, real gold is super soft and easily bends, so it would be terrible for a coating on a barbell built for super performance.
Cerakote makes a highly effective barrier against oxidation and corrosion. People living in humid environments or on a coast find this advantageous. Cerakote also helps defend against excess sweat (think lifting in Fringe HQ in Austin during hot summer months) and extremely hot and dusty environments as well.
Originally developed for the military for firearms application, Cerakote protects against corrosion resistance, enhances impact strength (so you can drop away!), and chemical resistance in the most extreme conditions worldwide. If the US military uses Cerakote in the harshest conditions in the world, then you bet it’s what’s on our Midas’ Revenge barbell.

I have a few bars with the titanium gold collars and they seem nearly indestructible, this bar started peeling after my very first session using it. The bar functions nice enough, but the reason I bought it over others was for the looks, which will likely not last very long.
J
Love my new bar. It's absolutely beautiful! I was a little hesitant to purchase because of the online reviews showing the rusted collars/spin situation but, I figured I'd take my chances at the flash sale price. I was so happy to see that those issues were resolved and the bar came in perfect condition. Grip is perfect for me.

It was like Christmas in the middle of summer. This bar is sexy. Feels great in the hands. The spin is smooth. Nothing compares to it and it’s nice to have that extra motivation to work out on days when you’re really not feeling it.
G
Had the bar eight months. The finish does not hold up. It arrived slightly scratched, but now….the pictures say enough. Otherwise the bar is decent.
T
The bar is nice but unfortunately the packaging failed and the sleeves were damaged.
L
This bar has to be one of my favorites that I've had my hands on. This has a solid and predictable spin. The knurl and coating feel good in the hand. Loading and unloading the bar is super smooth. For me it has just the right amount of slack to be taken up for heavy deadlifts. You really can't go wrong with this bar as a good all around work horse. And to top it off it looks amazing.
J
Let me start with fringe has a killer customer service policy. However, Will not contact them or ship it back.
Pros:
Beautiful looking bar, and gets the job done as a universal garage gym barbell.
Cons:
Unfortunately, out of the box noticed protective plastic had rust powder around the sleeve area...Spin was trash and basically seized due to the rust inside. Second sleeve spin (no rust) was not impressive or smooth. Tired quick fix by spaying sleeves which didn’t help any. The next day dissembled the bar and It looked like it was stuck out at sea on the Ever Given left to rust or it was the original barbell resurrected from the Titanic with all the rust that was inside. The bushing grease was gunked up with rust flakes too. After cleaning, greasing, and reassembly the bar spins slow but better non-rusted side is faster.
Lastly, small milling blemish on sleeve, powder coating on shaft has what feels like overspray or dust settlement embedded into it and I prefer more bite on the knurling.

Just received my Fringe Sport Midas 20kg bar (retail $329) today. Looks beautiful. Here are some initial impressions. The knurling is a little softer than a Rogue Ohio Power Bar (retail $290 Bare Steel), but considerably and thankfully more than the Fringe Sport Bomba V3 (retail $314). The center cerakote is not smooth, rather has some texture, which I am not sure was intentional. In one of the photos you can see “roughness”. The Bomba Bar is smooth. The gold collars have imperfections and nicks as you can see in the photos as well. Lastly the end caps with the cool graphic are not paper, more like a coin if you will. Because of this they do have a “clink” sound to them compared to standard end caps. Looking forward to getting it to work.

Awesome bar with a really good knurling! and those titanium sleeves are sweet!

Smooth experience and quick turnaround.will buy from again!

The Midas bar is nice. I never owned any quality Olympic barbell. My previous barbell was from CAP and it served me well. This barbell feels a lot better when doing deadlifts. The knurling feels just right, not too aggressive. Overall it is a wonderful barbell, it’s also a plus that it looks beautiful.

The barbell is great. Good spin. Performs really well, and the colors lookfantastic!
Z
Bar looked great out of the box. Knurling felt good. Definitely an improvement over my budget bar. Spin is smooth. Had the bar a few weeks now and the gold finish doesn't last. It has a large chip in it already. If they weren't charging a premium for the gold or if the gold was more durable, I'd rate this higher. It's good bar but you are paying extra for an aesthetic feature that won't make it a month.

This bar has a great feel and the sleeves have the right amount of spin. The Midas touch is just an added bonus!

Love it makes you feel like a king
R
best functional all around bar and it’s just so good to look at
E
I guess it’s just a personal preference but for deadlifting and rack pulls the knurling chews up my hands. I’ve relegated this bar to just benching and squats.

The bar is perfect for any work out .5 star

Pros: It’s a great bar. I use it for deadlifts, bench press, squats, rows, shoulder presses, upright rows etc. Cons: The small downside with the knurling in the center is that it cuts at your trap/neck area when doing squats (if wearing a stringer). No issues when wearing a regular tshirt. Good job fringe! Can wait to get the adjustable arms for my Dane 2.0.
T
Looks amazing. The knurling is comfortable and still allows a good grip. Only downside is the gold does flake off a little.( bar looks fine, but I see flakes on the floor)
P
I love the bar so far and I got tremendous support from customer service with a shipping issue that was totally my fault.
R
Looks pretty upon opening. That’s where the fun stops. Bushings are sticky with any type of weight on it. Gold coming off of the sleeves within a couple weeks of light usage. I wouldn’t buy again. It’s a now overpriced wall ornament.

Bar is very well made and the look and feel is good. Very happy with the product and purchase. One of the sleeves did get several scratches from the bumper plates used I assume. Definitely a bummer it happened after 2nd use but overall very happy.
J
This barbell is absolutely beautiful and an incredible value for the price. It has everything I was looking for — solid quality, great feel, and excellent performance. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase!
J
Very nice and smooth
This bar is the sexiest thing in my garage gym (except for me). It fits like a dream in my hands and looks AMAZING. I'll never lift with anything else.
