No, the sleeves are coated in gold-colored titanium. Titanium is 40% lighter than high-strength steel but equally strong, making the sleeves on the Midas' Revenge Bar extremely durable and resistant to oxidation. Real gold, however, is too soft and prone to bending, which is why it wouldn’t be suitable as a coating for a high-performance barbell.
Cerakote provides an excellent protective layer against oxidation and corrosion, which is especially beneficial for those living in humid or coastal areas.

Well, now I want everything in black and gold. These things are gorgeous. Knurling is perfect. I wasnt sure about the rackable curl bar but I have really grown to love that too. 10/10. Pairs super well with the Savage bumpers
Upon delivery, found the 20kg Midas barbell to be damaged on both sides of the sleeves. I believe it’s both the company’s and the delivery service’s fault. The company did not protect the barbell with bubble wrap or other protective material but instead wrapped it with a thin plastic barbell bag and could’ve used better packaging end caps to hold the barbell in place during transport. The delivery company also did not handle it with care so it probably moved around and broke the packaging which made the barbell slide out. Emailed the company to see what’s the next course of action. First impression not very happy. Hopefully the company will remedy this issue and do me right so I will purchase other product from them. Product seems to be quality which it will be determined with further use.
I was really surprised by the quality of these bars. I was coming off of the generic Amazon barbell and curl bar, and these bars absolutely blow them away. The knurling is the perfect level of aggressive, sharp enough to get a good grip but not too sharp so my wife still uses it. Being able to rack the curl bar has made workouts more efficient. Can’t recommend these bars enough.
Love this bundle, the bars look great, knurling feels good in the hand, my favorite has been the rackable curl bar, making it easy to load arm exercises. Would recommend again, every time
