SuperStrap Barbell Collars

Great addition to my gym

I have a garage gym with little kids around. I've been looking for collars that I could put on my vertical plate holder that would keep my children from pulling a plate down on their head. All the collars I tried would not tighten down. These straps secure tight and are easy to get on and off. They are definitely worth the money.

I'm more than satisfied with this pair, the fact that they adapt to all types of diameter is awesome. And no matter how thin or think, they don't slide. I recommend 100%

They do not hold. Too bad. They just need a rubber surface and these things would be awesome. Spring clips are better than these.

I love these collars because they go on easy and stay put. They allow me to make quicker adjustments.

After the frustrating discovery that the sleeves on my farmer’s carry handles are *just* too small for any of my collars to stay put, these were a great find! Snug fit, stay in place, quick on-and-off to change weights. Sturdy and well made.

They’re light-duty and don’t hold plates in place well. If there’s anything more than 10s on the bar, the plates creep out a few inches on every set. Stick to real barbell clamps

Just ordered two pairs during the President’s Day sale…I was very exited to use them with my Fringe sport loadable dumbells. Luckily, I only loaded 12lbs. Per side for a 39lb total overhead locked out position hold and walk warmup. Upon lowering, one side just gave completely and 12lbs of change plates came crashing down on the base of my big toe!!Not good. I strapped them as tightly as humanly possibly. I’m amazed that the product description boasts about it resisting “backing up” because it not only backed up but dove for cover. I’ve had 7+ years of experience from everything under the sun. Elitefts to Eleiko to Rogue and beyond. These straps are by far the most dangerous bit of kit I’ve come across. Love your loadable dumbells and bumper plates Fringe. However, when it comes to this particular product I’m thinking go back to the drawing board and reevaluate your design and material stock.

Great item. I wish the lining was a little grippier. Works great on ribbed bars -- decent for smooth bars. Great versatility for standard Olympic bars and axle bars.

The buckles sit a bit wider than the strap, so even right up against the bumpers, there is some play/movement of the bumpers. The material used that sits against the sleeve is a bit too smooth to my liking and doesn’t stick as well as it should to the sleeve of the barbell to enhance grip and holding strength. After repeated dropping from shoulder height, you do need to readjust and tighten as the collars are bumped away causing alot of wiggle of the bumpers to the inner collar.For bench, deadlift, squat, this is perfectly fine to hold the bumpers in place, but not really for wodding and/or dropping weight shoulders or higher, imo.I do like the weight of it, but there is certainly alot that can be improved on. At least these collars won’t snap on your fingers/thumbs.

I think these straps would be great on a bar that stays horizontal. Unfortunately I tried to use these during vertical movement (hammer curl) on a pair of loadable dumbells and they slide off easily with a single 10lb plate.

These work great! Easy to put on and take off. Fits any size bar. Very strong grip. I got my first set a year and a half ago and the velcro is just now starting to wear. They're used in a powerlifting gym by multiple people, and are moved around a LOT. I highly recommend these!

I've only used the SuperStrap Barbell Collars a couple times since I bought them. They seem to be convenient and useful.

There is still a little slippage no matter how tight I make them. No more than the normal squeeze collars though. I feel if there was grippier silicone on the surface it would prevent some slippage. Overall though easy to use and worth the price.

If you EVARZ go to a box gym. These things are amazing. They're light weight and ergonomic for your bag/pockets. Nothing against box gyms because I frequent one but they have like 1 pair of collars for every cheap barbell they have.

A simple order for a Christmas present was never delivered by USPS. A phone call to Fringe Sports leaving a voice mail message requesting help was never returned. Two emails only produced an automatic email response with the original tracking number. All in all, a disappointing experience.

These work great on my own bars where the sleeves are clean and have good knurling. At my box where the bars are older and the sleeves have become tarnished and smooth they tend to slip.

Currently still using them, although they tend to slide off after a reps. I have to keep readjusting them. Would probably by regular collars next time.

They are quick to put on , but not quicker than spring clamps , and they're about half as strong . If you load up dumbells with 35+lbs of plates they'll slide right off ,But , for things like squats and bench press , deadlifts they stay put pretty well , I definitely like that they tried something different , I just wouldn't expect the world from them.
