Beastly 320lb Weight Stack
The Walrus comes with a 320lb weight stack that uses a true 1:1 pulley system - so when you lift 100lbs, it actually feels like 100lbs. No confusing ratios, just real resistance. You can adjust the weight in 10lb steps, starting from 10lbs all the way up to 320lbs, making it easy to find the right challenge for every set.
Smooth Trolley & Adjustable Handle Positions
The Walrus features a smooth-glide trolley system that lets you easily adjust the handle height and cable length - no need to pause or reset between exercises. Whether you're doing full-range rows, vertical Lat pulldowns, or short, powerful pulls, the cable adjusts to match your movement. Once set, the trolley locks in place securely, giving you full control over your grip, range, and angle every time.
Switch From Pulldowns to Rows With Ease
The Walrus has a one-hand folding seat that flips up or down in seconds - no tools, no bolts, just seamless transitions between movements. The pulley system that features less friction and drag, allowing for fluid motion and better control throughout each rep. Aside from performance the Walrus provides a robust yet sleek aesthetic that's perfect for home and commercial gym.
You’ll unlock true Lat pulldowns, low rows, face pulls, triceps pushdowns, curls, cable crunches, and dozens more. Vertical and horizontal pulls, all in one footprint.
A 1:1 pulley ratio means the weight you select is the actual weight you feel when lifting or pulling.
If you’re doing a lat pulldown and select 100lbs, you will feel exactly 100lbs of resistance. Some functional trainers have a 2:1 ratio, meaning selecting 100lbs would actually feel like 50lbs because the pulley system reduces the load.
A 1:1 ratio is great for strength training because it provides a more realistic resistance, similar to free weights.
The footprint is just 26" wide × 33" deep—roughly 4.41 square feet. That’s half the space of two separate machines.
Absolutely. The smooth-glide trolley system lets you micro-adjust cable height and stroke length on the fly for any body type or training style.
Super easy. The one-hand folding seat flips up or down in seconds—no tools, no bolts, just seamless transitions between movements.
Yes. The tower includes a lat bar handle, and the cable ends accept all standard carabiner-based cable attachments.

Walrus
Its my favorite piece of equipment....it is a great value proposition. Solid and innovative. I bought the dane as well....the 1:1 was a big selling point...but because I have the walrus...i wish my functional trainer was 2:1....please release a 2:1 kit for it...please!!!!! Id be first to buy it. The walrus takes thec1:1 equation out if the mix for the functional trainer... The midas add weights are great...but seriously im smaller and there are exercises where 5 lbs starting weight or drop set would be great for . Lbs. Add weight recommendations....either instruct people to add duct tape on bottoms or sell a laser cut adhesive protective material for bottoms....why....they will scratch your plates badly and or get scratched also the magnets can come out. I added tape..all good now. I have many ideas....ill try to write them all down
Commercial Grade Power at Home
The Fringe Walrus lat pulldown and row machine has quickly become a cornerstone of my training routine. Assembly was simple thanks to the company’s clear, step-by-step video walkthrough. There was no guesswork, no frustration, just smooth setup from start to finish. The pulley system is top-tier, rivaling what you'd find in a commercial gym. It glides smoothly under load and feels solid through every rep. The oversized weight stack is amazing. For most lifters, it’s unlikely you’ll ever max it out, which makes it future-proof for progressive overload. This machine has earned a permanent spot in my workout rotation. The overbuilt frame adds to that confidence it was clearly designed to last.
The walrus is a solid value
I think the Walrus is near perfect, it's a great value, but it does bind from time to time. With that said, I would recommend it to anyone
Better than I hoped. Loving it so far.
I've had the Walrus built for about 2 months now and I'm completely happy with it. It arrived well-packed in a crate. Zero scratches, dents, or damage. Assembly was easy and straightforward following the YouTube video guide. The included written manual is not great and I didn't use it except to check that all parts were present. I use it alongside a more typical 2to1 2-stack functional trainer and the additional weight, height, and cable length are huge benefits. Everything is extremely smooth. Weight amounts are easy to adjust and I appreciate that I can easily hang small 2.5lb plates on as needed to fine-tune. With the seat in the upper position, the footprint is very compact. I also like the standard 3x3 and 1" hole construction that makes it somewhere I can use for storing attachments. My wife loves the ability to adjust the starting position for her height. Only cons I can think of are: - The included lat pulldown bar is pretty poor though I already had an alternative on hand that I use instead. I'd rather just not have one included, or include something that better matches the premium feel of the rest of the machine - The printed manual is not good - though the excellent YouTube assembly guide more than makes up for it. There should be a QR code to that video in the crate.
Whole family loves using the walrus
We are loving the walrus. I like the size of the weight stack. The pulleys are very smooth. It is built really well. The main benefit was that you can be seated for low row instead of on the floor. The only issue I have seen was that if you move the trolley up and down to position the bar you must make sure the bar is attached or due to slack the cable can jump off the bottom pulleys so if the pulleys captured the cable so they could not come off that would be nice. Also I would love to see a trolley for the front upright as an upgrade that would let you have functional trainer capabilities with the walrus.
