United StatesI’m so glad I found this. The main reason I go to the gym is for the squat cage. It allows me to max out on bench press (thank you, safety bars and 1-inch spaced holes for proper placement). In addition to squats, shoulder press, pull-ups, facilitates loading the bar for deadlifts, etc. I live an hour drive from the LA Fitness, about $35 in gas for each round trip. The squat cage paid for itself in about 10-15 gym trips over the course of 5 weeks. I now think of having my own personal squat cage as my secret weapon. It’s sturdy. It’s the perfect size (you might find it too small if you’re 6’5”, but for me as an average 5’10” 160lb guy, it’s just right). It feels like quality. It took me about two hours to put together by myself. I never got stuck while making it. You do have to pay attention to what you’re doing but it is not too difficult, and I am terrible at assembling things. Motivates me to gradually put together an even more complete gym, with this as the center piece. (I’ve already just ordered fractional weights).
