With the Axle Curl Bar, you get the best of both worlds, grip strength training and bicep training. It offers a more natural wrist position due to the curvature of how this barbell is made.
The EZ curl bar design features a bent shaft to reduce joint strain when performing curls and tricep skullcrushers. La Gordita features cambered grips at 135°, allowing for a semi-supinated grip to limit the stress on the wrists and elbows.
Since EZ curl bars are often a secondary “specialty” bar, we designed it to be as space efficient as possible. The bar has a total length of 55” with a loadable sleeve length of 9”, making it very functional yet easy to store.
How much weight can you fit on this thing?
With a 9” loadable sleeve, you can load up to two 45lb bumper plates on each side WITH room for a spring clip or five 45lb iron plates on each side WITH room for a spring clip.

How much thicker is the shaft compared to a normal barbell?
A standard olympic barbell has a shaft diameter of 28mm, which is roughly 1.1". The Axle Curl bar has a shaft diameter of 2", making it almost double the "thickness" of a standard olympic bar.
